We stopped by on a frigid February evening and the town was pretty sleepy and we were grateful to find a place that was open. We enjoyed a steamer pot of shrimp and cold brews. The service was terrific and the bar staff were really friendly. I recommend this place as a great casual dinner in a great location downtown..

Down home southern food! The tea is almost as sweet as my dear mother used to make! Service was good and food was perfect! My wife and I both ordered the surf and turf, steak was larger than expected plus cooked to our request, shrimp were plump and lightly breaded, cocktail sauce was amazing. Cucumber salad was light and refreshing. Fries were crisp and tasty! The roll was delicious and surprising not sure how to describe it but here we go, the top of the biscuit was golden brown with fried cheese, the center was moist, thick and a good type of gooey! Nice atmosphere and the other patrons, who were locals, were charming! Located in an adorable but seemingly abandoned downtown area off the beaten path. After dinner we took a stroll across the street and walked along the water front. Very peaceful and tranquil location.

Stopped in for lunch on our way to the OBX. Food was ok but the restaurant needs to be cleaned. We sat next to a window and the window sill was covered in dead bugs, dust and debris. The restroom was equally as dirty.

We came on a Thursday night which is a slow night in Plymouth. We came in about 7:15ish and seated/ordered quickly and the food came out quickly. IT WAS DELICIOUS!! We aren’t fans of country music but I tuned it out because the food was that good!

Have had a many great lunches here but tonight was the 1st time having dinner. I had the Crab dip as my appetizer and Crab Legs meal as dinner…. The legs were So fresh and sweet as was the corn on the cob!!!
Also was a delightful surprise that the guy that served me tonight was someone I remember as a fun and awesome server/person as far back as the oyster bar that Charles owned Downtown!

I love going to the Garden Spot. My mom and I eat there pretty regularly and I’m never disappointed. I always eat their grilled chicken wrap, but on Thursdays, they have the best fried pork chop I’ve ever eaten, and this is coming from someone who will choose any other meat over pork chop. The flavor is wonderful. If you’re an out of town guest, I highly recommend the Garden Spot.
