I think it’s fair to say that they make the best ramen in South Dakota. I’ve been to almost all the ramen places in Sioux Falls and Rapid City and Ramen Satto always delivers the best flavors. The ramen is quality. They also allow you to get half-orders for people with a lighter appetite or for kids.

Restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly. The ramen broth was appropriately spicy but I had to add a bit more soy sauce to taste.
I ordered vegetable gyoza but they gave me a meat one. I was the only customer during my visit there but I did not want to make a headache out of sending my food back.

This place has cute decor and as we walked in the staff were very nice. Their ramen was delicious and full of flavor. The toppings and noodle texture were just right. A true hidden gem!

The Black Garlic Tonkotsu here is absolutely excellent, rich, flavorful, and hits the spot every time. The restaurant is clean and well-kept, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Ramen Satto is a gem in Rapid City and I can’t recommend it enough!”

This place is really good. So happy to have something like this in Rapid City. I would have given it a 5 star but we lived in Japan and have that to compare. But the food is good, reasonably priced, and all the employees are attentive. Nothing bad to say.

My partner is Japanese and has been pretty much disappointed most times we go for ramen. We’re visiting from Broomfield, Colorado and after eating his Miso ramen, he continued to praise the place and mentioned how we need one back home! He complimented how authentic the taste was as well as the atmosphere- most ‘Japanese’ places mix other Asian cultures without realizing it, or it’s fusion (mixing other nation’s flavors), or it’s just a total miss. But this place really stood out with it’s simple Japanese-style decor and murals. We had to compliment the owner (he happened to be sitting out in the dining area) Hopefully we’ll be able to visit once more before heading back home! Here’s hoping he’ll take our request of opening one in or around Broomfield, Colorado

Food was good and plentiful. Most of the Ramen are similar except for the soup part. Grab an appetizer to make it a whole meal. Employees are very friendly and interactive. Restaurant is very clean.

Believe it or not, I come here for the people. That’s how good the staff are. Today I was about to get McDonald’s and I literally left the drive-thru line just to come here instead. Because I knew McDonald’s would make me sick and ramen satto would make me very happy.

This place did not dissappoint . I ordered tonkotsu ramen and it is so authentic. I finally found my to go place for my ramen fix.
They do not have menu for kids but I ordered a bowl of miso ramen for my two kids and they served it with two separate smaller bowls for them. (They do have kids menu now)
% recommend Ramen Satto. Also the gyoza , mmmmm
Edit:
Additional to this review. We went and visit and found out they added few things in their menu. Ikageso (calamari) is one of them , and that is my favorite. To me ikageso is not jus regular calamari. It’s way tastier. But I already ordered my appetizer so I passed the opportunity. But the staff (maybe the owner) decided to give me free taste cause he saw how excited I got when I saw it on the menu board. They just earned loyal costumer here. Clean and very friendly staff .

Probably the best ramen shop in town (and yes, we’ve been to all of them multiple times). Very excited that they’ve expanded their hours so we can come here more often. Also like the little snacks they get in 🙂
