Great prices and food options. Classic diner layout with pleasant staff. Convenient location for easy on/off the highway. Mature clientele.

We have been eating at the Glass Kitchen for over 40 years and it has been one of our favorite places because of its good menu, quality, and fair prices. Over the past few years, we have started to notice negative changes in food quality and service.

Most recently, we have noticed changes in the turkey entree where it appears that they have changed from fresh turkey to some sort of turkey loaf. In addition, vegetable soup, which has always been excellent, was taken off the menu. We opted for chicken noodle soup which was awful. We suspect that they have opted for pre made can soups. The difference is unacceptable.

I am sure that they have had wait staff problems with numerous new faces. Gone are the experienced wait staff who were excellent. As an example, we recently placed out order and the waitress brought out soup 10 minutes before I reminded her that we had not received our beverages.

All in all, we believe that Management better get back to the basics in food and service or they will continue to spiral in the wrong direction.

My parents started going here back in the 60’s and it’s still my favorite place to eat. The onion rings are the best I’ve ever eaten. Not many establishments like this left. Treat yourself to a great meal here sometime. You won’t regret it!

Sorry place, awful food, mediocre service. My wife and I were here recently and I got the turkey dinner. I couldn’t even eat it it was so bad, nothing about it was turkey dinner. The meat actually tasted like sauerkraut. Never ever again!!! The only thing that they are keeping pace with other restaraunts in is the prices. Awful food, expensive to eat!!! Should be torn down and an actual place that makes actual edible food should be put in it’s place. No kidding

My husband ordered the beef liver and I ordered the prime rib. Both were superb! The prime rib was cooked to my liking and the liver was very tasty! For our sides, we ordered fried eggplant, baked potatoes and salad. All were excellent! Especially the fried eggplant. Crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. Our server Kiarra, was very attentive and willing to fulfill all of our requests. She even tempted us with dessert afterwards; which we graciously declined due to us not being able to eat another bite! Overall, our experience was good. We will be returning again sometime soon.

Very Friendly service, good value for money. Quick in and out, or you can linger.

2 stars… Good, friendly service (which I would give 3-4 stars for), but food was so horrible I could only give it 2 stars

I ordered the Hamburger Steak w/ Gravy and Onions with a Side Salad and Baked Potato. Hamburger Steak was very well done and lacked any flavor, even with the gravy and onions. Meanwhile, the side salad was mostly the very inside of the head if lettuce that typically gets tossed, or used in cole slaw, and the baked potato was overcooked, again…

My wife ordered the Fried Crab Cakes with Side Salad and French Fries. Crab cakes were full of red and green peppers, not a deal breaker, but lacked flavor. Her salad was just as sad as mine and her fries, yet again, lacked flavor and weren’t cooked well. She did not finish her food, and we didn’t even bother bringing it back with us.

Overall, would not go back, even if someone else was paying, which is disappointing, as the staff seemed to be very friendly and interactive with our 3 year old.

Better than expected. I had gone there years ago, and vowed never to return. Something told me to try breakfast there the other day. It was really good! Interesting clientele when we were there. Have the waitress a little extra tip because another customer was giving her a hard time. She handled it well. Will go back.

Now I know why we haven’t been there for a while. food was pretty awful. Paid $10 for a stuffed pork chop that was about a half inch thick. And $19 for a piece of prime rib that was like shoe leather. Definitely will not be going back there again.

My mother in law and i stopped in last night. The food was great and the staff friendly. However we had to keep reminding our waiter to bring us things. I have heard in the past its not good at all some days but last night was good. The place is very run down but it is understandable since a lot of service is going to red robin and applebees right across the street. Very hard to compete. I am giving a 3 for the food and service though but you all need some help in order to stay open. Especially if the food is only good some days.
