Great local sweet spot. Great idea, ice cream & coffee. Who’d guess? And they make their own ice cream! I’d rate the coffee somewhere between a 6 & 7, I’m a tough coffee critic, I’ve roasted coffee and had my own shop. Not much for food items, would like to see some things to go along with coffee.

Went in after reading great reviews but was disappointed. The ice cream was melting and poorly presented, so we only got one scoop. Toppings were kept in an old, discolored container, which raised hygiene concerns. Ambience was okay, but overall, not a great experience

Callahan’s is such a gem! Just got a gingerbread latte, a baby vanilla cone and a half pint of PB&J ice cream ❣️ I don’t think they get enough recognition for their constant flavor rotations, amazing creativity and the love that goes into their products. From ice cream pies, ice cream sandwiches, freeze-dried candies. We are so lucky to have them in disco!

Living in Discovery Bay is a privilege, with its beautiful waterfront and close connection to nature. However, our location’s isolation and smaller population can make it challenging to attract small businesses. That’s why Callahan’s Coffee and Cones is such a gem in our community.
This ice cream shop makes all its ice cream from scratch in-house, and the flavors change daily, which keeps things exciting. I recently tried their orange creamsicle, and it was absolutely amazing. The staff is always friendly and helpful, making every visit a pleasant experience.
We are truly grateful for all the care and effort Callahan’s puts into their ice cream. Keep up the great work, and thank you for being such a wonderful part of our community!

Discovery Bay’s alternative to Starbucks was a great little stop on our way in to check out how summer was kicking off during Memorial Day weekend.
This quaint coffee shop has decor ranging from cows and country kitsch to nautical- which may sound odd but totally nails the CA Delta vibe!
They offer very decent coffee drinks and milk alternatives, as well as flavored syrups. The barista/ice cream counter attendant was polite, informative and friendly.
This must be a favorite with the local residents, seasonal residents and vacationers, too.
We would definitely stop in on our next trip.

Great shop! Always a good yummy ice cream variety. Up to highest expectations service. Beautifully decorated! I’m a customer for years and was never disappointed. You can even get an ice treat for your dog.

Awesome Awesome Awesome. Great ice cream and was a total surprise fond for my daughter and I after we were coming back from dinner in Discovery Bay. The cookies were awesome and milkshake was thick and great. My daughter gave the ice cream 2 big thumbs up as well. Awesome little mom and pop storefront inside the maze that is discovery bay. Totally glad we took a wrong turn and ended up with a treat!
