Tanya was an excellent host and adapted to my carnivorous needs! A lovely lady and a wonderful little family restaurant! I had the Ribeye on the hot stone which continues cooking at the table controlled by the customer. I asked for 6 eggs and this was actioned.

Absolute “hidden gem”, located in Tiverton Town. This quaint little restaurant is a family run business of a Ukrainian couple. Whilst it is small, it is very welcoming and has an amazing and friendly atmosphere. We came for a family dinner, 4 adults and 3 teens (12/13) on 17/05/2025. The food was superb. Steak served on a steak stone, comes out sizzling and is of the finest quality, absolutely melt in the mouth, and cooked exactly how you want it. The carbonara is homemade and freshly cooked and so delicious! The salads were fresh and the dressings were amazing. Pudding was just as amazing, Devonshire ice cream with waffles and syrup…. Comes complete with gold glitter!
A bit on the pricy side, but absolutely worth it, if you’re looking for exceptional quality cuisine.

We had a truly wonderful experience at the Tiverton steak house. The food was outstanding — the hot stone steak was especially amazing, perfectly cooked at the table and full of flavor. Everything was beautifully presented.

I ordered the steak on a sizzling hot stone, and it was not just a meal—it was an experience. The steak arrived still sizzling, with a tempting aroma rising from the hot plate, and a beautiful sear that had my mouth watering before the first bite. What I really loved is that I could cook the steak exactly how I like it—bite by bite—keeping it hot and fresh the entire time. The quality of the meat was outstanding: tender, juicy, and full of flavor, perfectly seasoned without overpowering the natural taste of the beef.
The dish was accompanied by crispy, golden fries that were fluffy on the inside, and a colorful fresh salad featuring crisp lettuce, cucumber, red onion, cherry tomatoes, and yellow bell peppers. Everything was incredibly fresh and thoughtfully plated. I also appreciated the selection of three sauces served alongside—each one offering a unique flavor to elevate the steak even more.
To complete the meal, I had a glass of rich red wine, which was expertly recommended by the staff and paired perfectly with the steak. The wine was smooth, full-bodied, and added another layer of indulgence to the entire experience.

It was our first time eating at Tiverton Steakhouse, as soon as walked in we were greeted by the lovely owner. The food was amazing, my husband had the 16oz steak which was the nicest steak he’s ever had. I liked the way we got to cook it to our satisfaction on the hot plate. The service was fantastic from start to finish, such a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend eating here

On our visit the restaurant was very quiet, with only one other table in use by customers at 8pm in the evening. The lady who greeted us was friendly and service throughout was prompt, as you would expect it to be when a restaurant is so quiet. As the restaurant is small, I would guess that even on busier days the service would still be good though.
The steaks are served on hot stones and therefore you cook them yourself. The menu advertises various types of steaks, we selected fillet, but we were then informed they don’t have fillet steaks now, so opted instead for sirloin.
For starters we opted for prawn cocktail and breaded mushrooms with garlic dip, both were very good.
The steaks were nice, only downside being that your hot stone is also your plate, so once you get the steak to how you like it, the steak continues to cook and can become over done, Also trying to pour the optional extra steak sauce on was difficult as it just runs off and sizzles and then evaporates from the stone. Just as a suggestion to the owner, in other restaurants I have visited where they operate this hot stone style, they normally bring you the stone for you to cook the steak on, then also bring you a plate to transfer the steak on to along with all the vegetables, chips and salads etc.

Called here on a Thursday night, the first of 3 nights in Tiverton. My husband ordered a rack of ribs which he said were fantastic. I ordered a fillet steak which was brought to the table just coloured. It was served on a wooden platter with an extremely hot stone slab which you use to cook your steak to exactly how you want it. Best steak I’ve ever had and you can tell the meat is quality. Served with chips and either salad or fresh veg. Every mouthful of the steak was superb as I cut pieces and cooked them on the hot stone. It’s not just a meal it’s an experience. Tanya who owns it with Andy, and is front of house was so friendly and welcoming. We wanted to return on one of the next two nights but they were fully booked which was understandable. I would highly recommend.

Such a lovely little steak house! We’ve been twice when visiting family in the area and both times have been lovely and a memorable dining experience. The veg lasagne is a good size and I’ve had the steak and duck previously, both served on hot stone which is a fun way to eat. We’ll be back again next time we’re in the area! Thank you
