I’ve been to this bakery a long time ago and their baguettes were quite wide which is odd for a baguette. I’ve been to France, baguettes are usually about 2 inches wide. Very soft and melt in your mouth.

Today I bought a baguette and it was a little too firm on the outside. It was soft in the middle but, not Paris Baguette soft.

I also bought a Cherry Croissant, it was great, very soft and flaky and after the salesperson heated it up for me it was incredible.

Great staff, I was greeted at the door by two young ladies and they were very accommodating. The one offered to heat up my cherry croissant which I’ve never had other bakeries ask to prepare it for me that way.

The prices are great for Monterey area and I’m looking forward to returning for some of their other items

Kid friendly and wheelchair accessible. Lots of parking on the street.

Unfortunately, this bakery was very basic and quite pricey for what it offers. Nothing stood out as extraordinary, and the croissants in particular were disappointing—there was no noticeable difference between the freshly baked items and the day-old ones offered at a 40% discount. The interior feels tired and lacks any charm that would make it worth a special visit. The only real highlight was the staff, who were attentive, friendly, and welcoming, always greeting customers with genuine smiles. Their service was the best part of the experience.

Great place for a coffee and light breakfast or pastry! The croissant sandwich and pomme chocolat are so good, very flaky pastry and crispy bacon. Absolutely some of the best I’ve had outside of paris itself! The iced sea salt caramel coffee is really good as well. Staff is friendly and service was quick.

This is a cute little bakery/cafe, very enjoyable to be in with a great variety of baked goods to try. The food is good, but surprisingly underwhelming — closer to what you’d expect from a spudnut shop than a fancy French bakery. The croissant is soft and quite buttery, more of an American style. The croque monsieur was a bit forgettable. The capuccino was very nice though, mellow in flavor with a well-bodied foam. I’d definitely like to try their bread and quiches next.

The staff was super polite and accommodating. Was kinda spendy but the desserts were amazing. Offering free filtered water was nice. My sandwich bread was a little dry. Fancy items! Very accommodating. Table wasn’t wiped sadly. Loved it!

What a gem! This spot is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious pastries and a satisfying lunch. Their Croque Monsieur and French onion soup are absolute winners for a quick and tasty meal. I also really appreciate the recent updates with the new tables and cash registers – it makes for an even better experience!

Overall: ⭐️☆☆☆☆

Food: Horrific

Avoid this place if you have any sense of taste whatsoever.

The words Paris and Bakery should not be used in the name of this shop. There is genuinely nothing at all authentic or good to report here.

They serve the poor people of Monterey bland, limp excuses for croissants in the misguided belief customers have no taste and will just put up with it.

If you want a croissant which is light, crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside with layers of flaky pastry served with a little butter and jam as it should be do not go here.

Let’s not even start about their interpretation of a baguette.

It’s a total disservice to the local community and disrespect to the French.

No wonder it was easy to walk straight into as opposed to other local places which had lines.

They may have been here a while but I can tell you their days are numbered. People are wiser and standards have been raised. This place is shockingly bad and I really, sincerely mean that.

As readers know, I always give credit where it’s due.

I wonder if the owners can stand up with hand on heart and look their customers in the eye whilst telling them they are being served delicious, carefully made, authentic French baked goods. I doubt it very much.

What I liked:

• Absolutely nothing

What I didn’t like:

• Dirty
• Over priced
• Not authentic
• The ‘croissant’
• Cheap watery coffee

Do I recommend going? NO
Will I go again? NO
Was it good value? NO

Top notch customer service with kindness. The ladies behind the counter make sure your order is handled perfectly. Fresh baked croissants and everything in-between. We left happy in a food coma.

Paris bakery updated their entry way and display case. They added a cute little photo opportunity as well!

The lady in the front is so racist. She was treating us very rudely. I would not recommend coming here. She made fun of how my husband speaks. We asked her to replace the coffee because it was empty and she ignored us and went to the back. I hope the owner sees this and realizes they have lost a customer forever. It’s a shame too because the pastries are good. I had to go up to the counter after half hour and ask another employee to refill the coffee. Felt very uncomfortable. Will never go back.

Corner neighborhood bakery, with some nice looking pastry cases. There was a 2 person line when I arrived, but it took a while for it to move.

Unfortunately they were sold out of breakfast sandwiches at 10:30, so I got an Almond Croissant which was served warm and a bit greasier than I was expecting.
