I like this place. Not full on Mexican food (coming from a Texan) but good filling and reasonably priced. They have an off sweet cinnamon flavor to their sauce, and not spicy at all. Chicken is a little lacking in spice.
Im pretty sure it’s because the military clientele are from places where ketchup is spicy. Salt, Tapitio an you are good to go. My go to Birro tacos or queen tostada.

Not bad for being in Alaska. I would go again. Although, didn’t like that some of their meat (in my case lengua [cow tongue] & adobada [marinated pork]) were chopped in rather big chunks for these tacos

Great place to come in grab a to-go combo meal and get it quick. I am not really interested in the dine-in atmosphere at that particular shop. There is a smell that isn’t always great coming from the back of the kitchen or something. But still a great meal up in front of the kitchen.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I am currently writing this on the toilet,when I took my first bite of the taco it had this indescribable taste not in a good way couldn’t finish it. The meat in the taco smelled tasted funny after a couple of bitesThe beans taste in worse we believe it to be spoiled. My whole family got diarrhea. I would not recommend this location.

I’ve been searching all over town for REAL horchata. Finally found it here. I was told Taco King had horchata made with real rice milk and it was the “freshest you can find without making it yourself”. I wasn’t disappointed. The flavor of the food was exactly what I was looking for. The rice was even better than what I was craving. And as weird as it sounds, I actually am pleased that the staff behind the counter spoke in Spanish/Portuguese. I wanted what tasted and felt like REAL AUTHENTIC Mexican food and it was definitely delivered like that. I can’t believe I saved you guys for last on my journey to find what I wanted in town, but I found it. Thank you guys, you guys are awesome and I’m coming back for more!

Classic Mexican, pretty popular with the locals and those in the know who like Mexican food like grandma would make. No complaints, good food, not excellent, but good hearty food. Staff was polite, food was brought to the table quickly. The other 3 folks I was with all liked their food as well. Place is clean and neat.
