Only minor issue is that the tenders were not hot, but warm. However, they tasted great otherwise! I had the mashed potatoes which were delicious, and the cinnamon apples which were awesome! And…the biscuit melted in my mouth……
The service was phenomenal. Very friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu. The service is not a problem at this location.
That brings me to the food. First let me say I was excited after seeing online hushpuppies as a side. Unfortunately our Champs does not carry them, understandable.
I got the chicken strips and fries. Chicken was bland, could not taste any seasoning. It was dry, not juicy however it was very crunchy and the sassy sauce was good. The fries, not good. Tasted like oil and not potato, again no seasoning. The fries made me nauseous after eating them.
My son got the Mac n cheese dippers plate with Buffalo. I’m not sure if there are different sizes but the meal was small. 2 dippers, a tiny portion of Mac, no sides for almost $11. I ended up sharing my meal with him.
My wife had the Chix sand and fries. She said it was OK, nothing special.
My take on this is that is was not worth the almost $50 for dinner. Bland food. Small portions. 2 stars bc the staff was great. The food however which is the main draw was not worth the money spent.
Soup kitchens have better food.
