We’ve been eyeing Wahlburger for a while, and finally decided to give it a shot. Can’t say I was impressed, unfortunately. We got there a bit after noon, and every table was dirty, and looked like they had been for a while. The employees at the register didn’t seem to know their own menu (one was new, but the other didn’t know either). The burgers were equivalent to fast food, but weren’t out particularly quickly. The servings were decent size, and the food was cooked well, just not anything special. The mac&cheese (we got “goverment” cheese – that’s how it’s spelled on the menu) was penne, not macaroni, and the cheese sauce was bland and thin. We paid $36 for two burgers and a kid’s meal.

Food isn’t cheap, we paid $33 and change for 2 burgers, sides and drinks but the same thing at McDonald’s is around $25 so it’s a little more.
You enter through the front of the store and order, then pay at the register. You go inside the dining room and your food is bought out you.
We were asked how we wanted our burgers cooked, and they were done perfectly. The sweet potato tater tots and fries were hot, crispy and well salted.
The odd thing is that the drinks were about $2.50 each which is weird in a grocery store which should be selling them dirt cheap.
Our server Jen was very nice and the food came out in under 15 min.

I visited the store. Fantastic friendly staff, we were the only people in the restaurant and it still took well over a hour to get our food. Id be willing to try it again if they improve there time to bring food out to the customers. Overall experience was a 3/5. I do not believe I will be visiting again unless recommended by friends or family.
The food was not fantastic and was low quality. It was not worth the wait.

I was super looking forward to trying this, as I have wanted to for years. It was just ok. The burger was not very flavorful. The only real flavor on the burger was the sauce and there was not much of it. The fries were seasoned well but slightly soggy. The saving grace were the bacon Wontons! They were delicious! The staff was friendly, but it took such a long time to get my food. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but it definitely was not the experience I was expecting.

Doordashed the Our Burger box or whatever. About $60 for four meals after it’s all said and done.
Burger wasn’t bad. Wasn’t good either. It had no flavor… like none.
The beget were very fresh tasting. The Bun was subpar.
The “cupcake” was awfully confusing. We got four large milkshakes with like a flattened cupcake on top. Very odd.
The fries I don’t think had any salt on them. Sweet tots weren’t bad.
I may go again just to try the PBJ burger but really Steak and Shake in the parking lot is 100x better and cheaper

It took them 20 minutes to make two shakes. When we finally got them they were the consistency of skim milk with some chunks.. My 5 year old could do better. Terrible service.

This was the worst experience I could have ever imagined having in a restaurant. My family and I ordered the impossible burgers with no cheese (because we do not eat meat do to dietary restrictions and religious beliefs) and we were servered meat. The cashier had a tattoo of Beavis and Butthead on their forearm and embodied their personalities well. He was careless and negligent. Too cool do take orders and it cost my family. Management staff didn’t think it was serious at all and acted like it was something a simple refund would remedy but the pain of not being able to digest red meat and the devastation of doing something against everything we believe deserves a little more than an “oh well”.
Just know if you have dietary restrictions Hy-Vee will not make them seriously and if they mess up horribly, they will do virtually nothing to even make you feel heard.
