Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The drive through was extremely slow and only 3 cars ahead of me, the food was cold and Dr Peppers tasted bad. I politely told the worker that the DPs tasted bad and she told me it was a carbonation problem and there’s nothing they can do about it! I get DPs at the Amarillo locations and the DPs are good.

Stopped for a quick bite before driving back home to SA. Hands down the best whataburger we’ve eaten! From the friendly customer service to the hot food. Our fries were so fresh they didn’t need ketchup, and are burgers were perfectly seasoned and hot!

Cold fries and onion rings. Burgers were tasty, but it was a long wait – especially as the only customer there. Plenty of staff, but mostly talking to each other and idly standing around. Won’t go back since the tasty burgers weren’t worth the total meal price. Love other Whataburger locations but this one is way below average.

The service that I received was terrible and I truly don’t think they cared. I received my fries and bottled water and was told they would bring my chicken strip sandwich shortly.. I checked back in 15 and they were “working on it now” after 20 more minutes we had to leave so I asked them for a refund. They did give me a refund with no apology and then I asked for 2 bottled waters to go. I was told they didn’t have bottled water even though I was holding the one I received with my fries. Next I was told, from the manager, well we do have them but we don’t sell them. I did get two bottled waters eventually, from a manager who thought I was the problem.

This might be the worst run Whataburger I have been to. I have been there twice since moving back for school. The first time I ordered take out and when I showed up I went up to the counter and they said they were just waiting on fries which was strange since I didn’t have fries in my order. So I waited and went back up about 20 minutes later after they still haven’t brought out my order and then they go in the back to check and it turns out they gave it to somebody in the drive through. So of course it takes another 30 minutes for me to get my food and on top of that they did not give me my hash browns.
The next time I went I had ordered on the app ahead of time and got there a few minutes after the time range it was said to be ready. I go up to the counter and ask them and they say they are waiting on fries again. (I guess this is the go to line when they don’t know what’s happening?). So I waited for about 30 minutes waiting for them to bring my food out before I went up to the counter again to see what was going on. So she goes in the back and it is just sitting there by the drive through window. And on top of all that the food was room temperature.
One star for somehow making one of my favorite places to eat one of my least. Well done.

First time visitor to Whataburger. Huge Buffalo chicken strip sandwich, fries were decent. Quite expensive, but pretty much in line with other fast-food vendors. We used the drive-through.

Food was ok, order was incorrect, server that brought the food, he threw it on the table, didn’t ask if we needed anything and didn’t bring our drinks. Restaurant was dirty, nobody cleaning, as they used to. The restaurant is not that old, but bad management, causing conditions to get worse.

I went to Whataburger for the first time while at Canyon, Texas. Atmosphere was good, staff was good, vibrant.
I found the signing offer of “Free Burger ” which didn’t get applied on my Whataburger app. I was about to order something else then, and this STAFF “KALYB ” who’s an 18 year old employee of Whataburger stepped in, opted a “7.89$ Avocado Bacon Burger” for me and paid out of his pocket with a Discovery Credit card [ ️ July 10th, 2025 at 01:32 PM CST ]. Before I even realized, the payment went through and this 18 year old 6’1” guy just won my heart. I asked for his number and I said “Brother, I want you to someday come to my place and I will cook some delicious Indian food for you “. He agreed and even later told me how I can avail the offer using the bill I had at hand .
WHATABURGER higher chain of command(s), if you people are reading this Google review of mine, make note of this. These kind of fast and immediate step-in “gestures” by employees like “KALYB” makes the franchise’s name go a long way. Appreciate this gentleman for me again please. I will try and visit there often.
