I spent $43 for what turned out to be one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a long time. I’m pretty pissed honestly. We received just two small chicken legs and waffles that were half-cooked and soggy—definitely not what you’d expect for that price.

The neck bones? So salty they were almost inedible. It was mostly fat and very little meat. The collard greens were lacking flavor and care, I had to add vinegar just to make it better. The only thing that was okay was the yams, even though it was mostly smashed. For the cost, I expected a hearty, well-prepared down south type meal, but this felt thrown together with zero attention to quality or balance.

I called multiple times to see if I could talk to someone, but it just goes straight to voicemail. I wanted to support this spot, but unfortunately, I won’t be coming back & definitely not recommending it to anyone. Way too expensive for food that tasted rushed (though it took 40 minutes to receive), overpriced & poorly made. Best bet is to pull up to Cracker Barrel before this.

I have been craving Cajun food and been wanting some fried chicken. I didn’t know El Paso has a soul food/Cajun place until I checked Google. I am so glad I tried this place. Food was amazing! Came in so fresh and hot! The menu looks amazing. I love how they actually have fried chicken instead of just wings like a lot of Southern restaurants usually offer. The owner, Gerard was also very welcoming and very hospitable. I love the old school R&B music playing in the background. I will definitely be back to try the oxtails and everything else on the menu. Oxtails are only on Thursday! Highly recommend this place. Thank you, Gerard for the warm service.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at this small business. The dirty rice, fried chicken and the swai fish were delicious and well seasoned. The cornbread was really good also, just a little on the small side. Unfortunately, the collard greens were under seasoned, the yams were slightly undercooked and not sweet enough for me, the macaroni had a strong burnt taste. The sides were still edible and I enjoyed trying everything. The service and atmosphere were okay too. I would still recommend supporting local small businesses and forming your own opinion.

Absolutely, blew my mind!! This was so delicious, such an authentic cuisine it left us speechless and definitely smiling the whole time. We ordered the serving for 2. It was well served, and we had leftovers. The mac and cheese is also amazing, creamy, and cheesy. I can’t leave out the sweet ice tea, I mean the cheery on top. Hands down a must go.

The wait was long, considering there was only 1 person doing everything. The young man who goes by DNA, was VERY nice, friendly, and respectful (thank u to his parents). The decor and atmosphere of the place is nice. The food was very good. DNA said he put alot f “love” in it and it tasted so. My first visit with friends. Fish, cabbage, mac, And I had kool-aid in my favorite flavor!

If you’re ever in El Paso, TX go by this place. The experience was as if I was at my Big Mama’s house and she was cooking for me and my friends. The food was delicious and the staff made me feel like I was family versus a customer visiting for the first time. We had smoked neck bones, fried cabbage, Mac n Cheese, wings, fried pork chops, Double seafood broil, sweet potato pie and the banana pudding that was out of this world. Go check them out

I wish I could give no stars my family and I spent $100 here today and let’s just say they will never see me or my coins again. I ordered fried chicken with mac n cheese and dirty rice. I got 2 dry cold chicken legs my mac and cheese was missing from my dinner and my daughter plate oh and they literally gave me 3 small spoon fulls of dirty rice which was dry and nasty. We tried calling the restaurant multiple times and got voicemail I even left a message but nobody bothered to call back. We actually made a door dash order but did I mention we waited an hour for cold nasty food from a place 5 min down the road. If I had a ride I would’ve taken it all back for a full refund. Fool me once…..but never again sincerely highly pissed highly disappointed customer

THE BEST SOUL FOOD! Everything is seasoned perfectly! My husband and I devoured it in a matter of minutes!
We got their Regular Boil with sides of fried Swai, Mac n cheese, fries and Collard Greens. They also threw in a free lemon cake slice and it tasted amazing! Just like fruity pebbles! Will return soon 🙂 total was 68$ for a giant boil and extra sides. Definitely worth it.

I must say ! This place deserves more than 5 stars!!!! Not only was the customer service amazing, the food was amazing as well. I’m from Virginia so I wanted to find a place with good soul food and I’m so happy I found this place!!! I really can’t find the right words to explain how great it was. If you are thinking about going ….GO!!! They give you big portions so I tasted everything first then I ate. I couldn’t finish everything but it was worth it. Also priced well too!
