July 2023, this was my first experience this season. I had a 4 star review posted for a few years the icecream was good and i felt you got your moneyworth. Today changed my thoughts! I can’t believe a small Hot fudge Sunday, with nuts and without whipped cream cost over $7 and looked like this. I absolutely recommend going elsewhere.

J’s is definitely my favorite soft serve ice cream & water ice place around. I can’t even eat Rita’s anymore because they’re awful compared to J’s. However, the older, larger lady who works there keeps me from coming. On more than one occasion, she has been exceptionally rude. It doesn’t matter if they are busy or completely empty. She will slam the window closed while you are speaking to her, speak condescendingly to you, roll her eyes at your order, heavily sigh & shake her head and cut you off in the middle of your sentence to ask a question you were in the process of already answering. She speaks to you as if you are beneath her & not worth her time. It’s unfortunate because I do love J’s & their prices, however I nor my husband, nor my minor siblings or my overly kind parents deserve to be spoken to or treated that way. And seeing the other reviews here, it doesn’t seem like J’s has any desire to fix the issue as this seems to be an issue for years now. It’s really a shame. Come for great ice cream and gelati’s, but prepare yourself to be treated like a nuisance.

I’m hesitant to write this review because it’s tempting to keep the gem that is J’s Water Ice to myself, but such a wonderful place should be shared with the world. J’s serves up bites of nostalgia so good, they’ll take you back to your childhood. Whether served up covered in sprinkles, hot fudge, or one of the plethora of other toppings, each bite of heavenly nostalgia will fill your heart with joy. This is the best water ice place we have ever been to . They make and sell the best flavor water ices we have ever had. They are cheaper then Rita’s but taste so much better the Rita’s. Even if they were more money then Rita’s we would still pick j’s over any other place. We go here multiple times a week. If you love water ice like me and my family do, you will love j’s waterice.

Really love this place. Great ice cream and water ice. But the lady always gets irritated when I ask for a smoothie or milkshake. She got really, really mad at the people in front of us when they ordered a banana split. If you don’t like making these items, take them off the menu and stop abusing customers for ordering them.

This was always my go to ice cream place. Great ice cream. However the older lady working here has a terrible attitude. Two occasions I’ve dealt with her now and she was very rude both times. Wouldn’t let me finish my order without cutting me off and just being downright nasty. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. You’re losing customers because of her.
