First time was this evening. My wife had the two steak taco plate with rice and beans, I had three steak tacos. We will definitely be back again. This place is authentic. Friendly service, great portions for the price. Steak was very well seasoned and not dry or too oily. Red sauce and salsa verde was spot on. We’ve honestly been looking for a taco spot in Madison and we found it here. Thank you again.

Although the wait here can get long around the lunch hour (I sat for 40 minutes before getting six tacos), the quality of the food is incredible. Each taco packs a punch of flavor, whether it was steak, chicken, or pork. They certainly don’t skimp on filling up your tortilla either – at $3/taco, you get a mountain of food.
There is plenty of seating to dine in and many options for grocery as well.

Wow. Carne Asada taco haven/heaven? Bree and I just had three of them, and squeezed lime juice over these delightful tasties. Orange sauce, guessing habanero in a ketchup bottle, and green sauce in a mustard bottle. Slathered one on one taco, the other on another, and left the other one sauce less. They were all culinary delights. Dreamy. We will be back. For now, we’re off to see our first movie in a cinema in more than a year. But go here. This restaurant is a new personal fave.

The food is incredible! They have a homemade gordita shell that is incredibly crispy and delicious. Madison has many great spots for Mexican, but this is up at the tip!

This review is for the restaurant, not the bodega. $30 for 2 burritos, a side of rice and beans. The burritos were probably 50% smaller than at most other Mexican restaurants, the taste was just ok (2 out of 5). For the same amount of money I could have had a bigger meal at a restaurant by the Capitol instead of next to a gas station!
