As far as I can tell, this is the only Bangladeshi restaurant in Chicago that’s actually active right now. The menu online looked promising, but when ordering through their website or UberEats, the options were pretty limited. I went with the goat biryani. It arrived really fast to my hotel and I dug right in.
Opening it up, the container was packed to the max so definitely not stingy with portions. I loved that it had potatoes and a ton of meat. Taste wise, I’d say it wasn’t the best Bangladeshi goat biryani I’ve had, but it wasn’t bad either. It was okay. Obviously it doesn’t compare to the motherland or New York or other big metro areas, but I’m still happy there’s at least one Bangladeshi spot in Chicago. I just hope they add more items to the delivery menu at some point.

My brother and I had just landed in Chicago and we were already craving some masala chicken. We googled and found the place and thankfully it was close to our hotel . The food is excellent, and the owner /manager offered us to try some butter chicken which was delicious as well. The staff is amazing , very friendly and polite. we felt very welcome . At the end he offered us some chai tea , very kind gesture from him. Check him out ! Great place and delicious food

Went there for the first time and ordered the Chicken Biryani for takeout. Unfortunately, it was the worst Biryani I’ve ever had. I didn’t order an Oil Biryani, but that’s exactly what I received. For $17.27, I expected a proper meal—not a dish drenched in so much oil it felt unhealthy to even eat.

Overall, it was a very disappointing first experience.

Masala Magic has some of the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. From the moment we walked in, both the chef and the cashier were extremely welcoming and made sure my friend and I were enjoying our meals. They checked on us consistently and genuinely seemed happy that we loved their cuisine, which made the experience feel very personal and warm.

The food itself was amazing and honestly tasted homemade, like it was cooked by a grandmother. Nothing tasted frozen, old, or artificial, everything was very fresh and full of flavor. Portion sizes are solid, and we spent less than $30 total, which is an incredible value for the quality and amount of food you get. Overall, great food, outstanding service, and a place I would absolutely recommend and come back to.

The best chicken masala you’ll ever eat, and the better chicken is even better and good portions . The hospitality was out of this world, very kind and welcoming people, I had a blast while visiting Chicago and it already became my favorite place to eat. I will miss this place

We went ther for breakfast. Food quality is quite good, I won’t deny. But it’s hella costly. We had 3 Paratha, 3 Dim Bhaji (Egg Fry) and 1 Dherosh (Okra Fry) Bhaji, this cost us about $40. Felt a little bit too much Also, in the receipt, there was a random charge of 2 dollars, which the person on the counter couldn’t explain properly. It literally showed 35+2 -> 39 something like that. Ridiculous!

If you want to taste authentic Bangladeshi food, this place can be a good choice, but ask the price first!

Masala Magic Restaurant was a decent experience overall. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive staff made the visit enjoyable. The food was just okay, nothing particularly memorable, but still satisfying. The atmosphere was decent as well, making it a fine spot for a casual meal.

The food at this restaurant was amazing and the staff were really friendly. The lassi and chicken 65 were really good. The big parking lot in the back is really convenient. There is also a Masjid in the basement. If you are in the area on Fridays, this is a nice spot to pray Jummah and grab food. Truly a hidden gem in downtown.
