I have been missing out! We’ve lived in the area for a while now and haven’t been here yet. We ordered on Christmas (yes it was a long wait but was to be expected), it was totally worth the wait! Sesame chicken, egg rolls, shrimp and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, and dumplings were all great!
However we were upset with the filling of the crab rangoons, it had a strange tasting filling. I love crab rangoons too, but not this one.
We liked it so much we ordered again on New Years Day! Definitely recommend!

We love getting food from China House. You get a lot for your money and they don’t use a heavy amount of oil unlike other Chinese restaurants. The employees are always very kind. Ordering takeout, our food is typically ready within 12 minutes max, even when they’re having a busy time

The only reason why I gave them a 1 star on the atmosphere was because my 5 yo wanted to dine in, and it was so hot and muggy inside of the restaurant. It was hot and muggy outside, and to make inside to feel that same temperature was insane.

Not a place to dine in if you are looking for romance or a night out. HOWEVER! The take out is perfect. The dumplings were exceptional, fresh and a good serving. I ordered egg drop soup and it was spot on. No pets or carrots- exactly how I had hoped.
I only ordered appetizers to take home and eat since it was late for a big meal. But I’m sure to give them a try. It is a family run business. Supporting small local businesses in Walnut cove.
