Daylight Donuts has become one of our favorite places to visit, especially on Friday mornings. It has turned into a wonderful weekly tradition for my daughter, my grandkids, and me. On the mornings when I substitute teach, we start the day with donuts, coffee, and lots of smiles. The kids love picking out their favorites, and it has become part of what makes Fridays so special.
The atmosphere at Daylight Donuts is cozy and welcoming. The smell of fresh donuts fills the air as soon as you walk through the door, and it always puts everyone in a good mood. The coffee is hot and delicious, and the donuts are light, fluffy, and full of flavor. Whether it is glazed, chocolate, or filled with cream, every single one tastes freshly made.
As someone who is legally blind, I truly appreciate the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. They are always patient, friendly, and quick to lend a hand if I need help. Their care and respect mean a lot, and it makes each visit a pleasant experience. I highly recommend stopping by some morning for donuts and coffee. It is a perfect way to start the day with family and joy.

This place should ashamed to serve a sandwich like this. It’s like a giant dough ball was just sat on top. The meat and egg is duper tiny. I go to the Daylight Donuts in Paola and their breakfast sandwiches are soft and flaky and absolutely delicious. Getting this was a shock. Never again. I am truly sad because I would rather go to a small business than McDonalds or Burger King.

We have been going here for quite some time and will go back as we are not giving up. Today though was not good. We went around between 8:30 and nine and I asked for a chocolate donut and they only had raspberry filled bismarcks which was exactly what I wanted! Half the donut was really good and then something tasted off. Color me super surprised when I found a partial piece of cheese and sausage. I have called them to let them know but nobody answered so hopefully no one else got a raspberry cheese and sausage filled chocolate Bismarck. And yes I’m queasy!

The food here was good, but I did not give it a high rating because it’s rarely available. I’ve come in four times in the last two months to ask for a bacon biscuit sandwich that is on their menu and they’ve told me each time that their bacon is frozen.
I’ve even paid for a sandwich and they didn’t have the meat and they couldn’t refund me and told me to come back next time… It’s been four times and I haven’t had my Bacon! I asked when The latest time would be to come in when they would have bacon and they were rude with me and said that ‘it’ll be ready at 4:30 am’…
They don’t close until 11 AM and I come each day at 10-10:30… Yes, it’s 30 minutes before close but they should still be able to tell me a time or at least accommodate me. Manager seems very nice, but I was handled very rudely by anyone else every time.

This morning the guy at the window got irritated as I pulled in behind someone else and was saying he was going to close the drive thru because he had other stuff to do. Gotcha. Ordered biscuits and gravy Add egg $1.50 upcharge Got my food home and no egg decided just to never go back to this location while I was there the guy taking my order was not very nice. I asked about filling inside the donuts got a rude answer so this location is not worthy.

Came in for breakfast on a raining Tuseday with a friend (today and like we do most Tusedays). Today however jt seemed like every one is Ottawa had the same breakfast craving and they were slammed! The front counter lady today,Veronica, was rocking it! She was keeping up with all the hot foods and donuts and greeting everyone. My friend and I got sat down at our table and grab our coffees while we waited to order with the unusual rush (at least for us when we are there), and we watched as Veronica was helping people and keeping up with everything by herself. It was really awesome to see!
Coffee, donuts and the breakfast burrito and the biscuits and gravy were the perfect breakfast as usual. Thank you for never losing the friendliness even when it’s super busy!
