ForLing’s has been our preferred choice for Chinese takeout. The majority of the meals are both tasty and fulfilling. Today, I enjoyed the special noodle dish, which consists of egg noodles, vegetables, beef, chicken, and shrimp. The smoky taste of the stir-fried meal was perfectly balanced.

I really wanted Won Ton Soup and some Ribs for lunch. I started scouring the Grubhub and doordash app for places. I also googled and looked on yelp to see reviews and such. I ordered through Grubhub and my food came in about 45 mins. I started on my ribs first. They had a great flavor but were a little bit too tough for me. The Won Ton soup looked really weird. I have never seen it come with Veggies but hey Veggies are good. When I tasted the juice, it was very bland and did not have the flavor of Won Ton soup at all. The wontons were mostly just the noodles. There were only 4 actual wontons and they were not filled at all, just a vey small amount of Pork in them. I was already dealing with the weirdness of the soup, but for it to be mostly noodles was a huge let down.

I typically order from their lunch menu. It is very reasonably priced for the amount of food that you get. For about $8 get the main dish, rice, choice of soup, and an egg roll. What I like most about Ling’s is that they actually include vegetables in their dishes, like a hearty amount of zucchini in the kung pao. I don’t know why so many other similar restaurants don’t include any sort of green vegetables.

We keep trying this place because it is close and not consistently awful, but I think I’ve had my last meal from there. I placed an order twenty minutes online before I showed up (while masked up to keep my flu germs to myself), and when I got there, it looked like they had not noticed my online order. (It wasn’t like it was super busy and running behind – it was pretty much empty the entire time I was there.) Rather than explaining the situation, they told me it was “almost ready” about five times over the twenty minutes I waited in their empty restaurant. I would have canceled the order if they had been up front with me because my main purpose for ordering there was to get my food quickly because I was sick, but they kept it to themselves. After listening to them argue in the kitchen, finally my food came out. I’m not sure if it was the soup or the flu that upset my stomach, so I’ll just focus on the service issue here.

Ordered food last night from this place and something tasted “off” in almost every dish that had broccoli and rice. It almost gives off a taste of moldy water. You know how water starts to create a slime/mold if the filter isn’t cleaned or if water is puddled for too long? That’s how most of the dishes tasted.
We ordered the garlic beef – absolutely no garlic flavor and it tasted like mold.
Orange chicken- not terrible but not great either
Chicken lo Mein- only thing that was good
Fried dumplings- very thick dough and since it was a Togo order they were soggy, which I knew would happen.
Delivery was fast! I was pleased with that and the person who took my order Over the phone was easy to understand and friendly.
Overall very disappointed in the food and will not be returning.

The one star rating is for the service only. Prices on the menu are INCORRECT, expect to pay +$1, $2 more than listed, TAKE OUT ONLY, NO DINE IN.

Food was flavorful and well seasoned. I would give the food 3/5 stars. Ordered the sweet & sour combo, beef & Broccoli, Szechuan fish stew and special wonton soup.

My husband and I, along with our two children found a table and sat, looking forward to dine in and enjoy good food. We were the only customers. The employee at the register greeted us from behind the counter. The employee didn’t offer us menus and didn’t tell us where they were located. My husband looked around and found them along the left wall. We ordered four plates at the register, paid and sat back down.

We were a little confused at the total, it seemed like we were possibly overcharged. My husband approached the employee at the register and wanted to confirm the price of the plates we ordered. The employee said the prices on the menu are incorrect. It would have been nice to be informed of the current price or have the menus replaced. So be aware that some dishes might be $1, $2 + more.

My husband sat back down, we waited a few more minutes and the same employee comes out with our food in a to go bag. We were incredibly confused.

There is no mention that this restaurant is take out only. The employee was incredibly aloof and not helpful.

Ling’s restaurant isn’t recommended for dine in, unless it’s delivery or takeout, but I won’t be doing that. I don’t want to give them any business.

Wasn’t very good. The food was fried hard everything was salty and taste like it was old and tast e refried. I asked for coconut shrimp I had some shrimp in roll like an egg roll. Tasted horrible. I went five years ago forgot that I had given a bad review then. They beef satay was dry and tasteless. Not sure who is keeping this restaurant in business, but we work to hard for our money too be given horrible food like this .

I generally don’t write reviews but this place is exceptional for the food that I eat and probably are more aligned to the Indian taste. Prices are very reasonable, quantity is good and the below dishes – we love it.
Chicken noodle soup
Crab wontons
Chicken kung pao
Chicken lomein
Sesame chicken
Orange chicken

I’ve been looking a good Chinese take out. I wanted somewhere I could go and see the establishment, the staff etc. I started off with just the basics, Chicken fried rice and progressed through the menu. I find the food to be very tasty as well as a good value. The staff has always been friendly and nice. It’s my go-to from now on.

I’m gonna be totally honest here…..I don’t like having to do this. I have been struggling to stay a customer of Ling’s. I have battled back and forth with the inconsistent quality of the food over the last few years!!! I had the most issues with the FM 1463 location. Well, it has closed and I returned to the S Fry location. Today almost took the cake. I ordered shrimp egg foo yun , sesame chicken and house special low mein. The egg foo yun was almost half of what it used to be. The patties looked like pancakes. They were so thin!!! I did not get my money’s worth. To pay over $10 and get this measly serving of food is so insulting!!! When Evan works, he always makes sure I get good food and good service!! I am so disappointed in my experience today!!! We have been loyal customers for over 10 years but we may need to find a new Chinese spot!!!
