Bring your appetite. Ask fythe gravy for the fries on the side. Plan to share the fries (or maybe the whole lunch!). I am a hearty eater and I could finish it, neither could my FIL. I had a fried chicken wrap and he had the ham club. We both got fries. Next time, one of us will get fries with, 2 sides of gravy, one for each of us. My MIL had the clam chowder soup of the day. It was homemade. Everything tasted fresh, the servings were large and we spent about $50 for the 3 of us with tax and a 25% tip. The son was our waiter and was very friendly and attentive. I will be stopping back to this family run restaurant again!! Keep up the good work.

A great diner with delicious breakfast choices (breakfast sandwich on a croissant)! And homemade cinnamon rolls and turnovers. Will definitely go back there again.

Really wanted a late breakfast since i found out that they served eggs Benedict at this restaurant, so my wife and I drove from Lowville where we were staying, only to find out that they stopped serving breakfast at 2:00.
We then decided to just get what we could, so my wife ordered loaded tater tots with a bowl of fruit. (She has some dietary allergies). I went with the house Special which was pulled pork and waffle fries.
Her tater tots were horrendous really. Just loaded with grease and the cheese was pretty nasty for some reason. My pulled pork was okay, but tasted like the frozen kind you get from a grocery store. The waffle fries were just bland really. The best thing about the meal was pretty much the dill pickle slices? I’m not sure, but I think the oil they cooked with might have needed to be changed. That was just a guess on my wife’s part as she has worked in the restaurant business before.
My final thoughts is that this is probably a great place for breakfast, but not so much for lunch and dinner.

Very good food, large portions in a throwback cafe setting. Great value! Any size ice cream for $3!

We had such a great time at the Red Rooster Diner this week. Everything about the experience exceeded expectations. The location is lovely. There is outdoor seating on the porch or at picnic tables next to the Beaver River. Service was friendly and fast. They make their own bread, which was excellent. The homemade cinnamon French toast bread was amazing. Even simple things like hash and tater tots were delicious. Portions were generous. Ice cream was $3, kids meals were $8. We’ll be back whenever we’re in the neighborhood.

My last visit was not like the previous four. My omelette only had one out of the four things I ordered in it correct and it was half the size of the other two omelettes that I had there (not even pic worthy). I literally almost asked the server if I accidentally ordered from the kid’s menu. Yes, it was that sad. I’ll try it again, but I won’t go out of my way like I did before.

I’m 3 hours away from home, it’s lunchtime, it’s a diner; I don’t extpect much but a reasonable lunch. I got the special: meatloaf, with mixed veggies. The meatloaf was fine, quite hearty in fact; better than the bland stuff at many diners. What impressed me were the veggies. I expected them to be soft, overcooked, but what i got was a pleasing mix of nicely grilled, somewhat crisp beans, broccoli, carrots, etc. Certainly better than your average diner. I only wished I could be around to try their breakfast.

Cute, quaint place! Lovely View of water behind the restaurant, food was delicious and you can taste the love! I’m sure there are waits at times, but it will be worth it!

Wow! What an amazing place. Food was fabulous and way above expectations. Another great family owned and operated business with great service. I wasn’t sure about the pancakes and boy they were giant. Make sure you bring your appetite. P.s. the fresh bread is like nothing else much better than traditional toast. Love the fresh bread. But honestly, the best dish would have to be the Milehigh Breakfast!!! The perfect breakfast combo. It’s not on the menu yet, but just ask for it, you wont be disappointed!
