I have discovered the best tater tots ever! They surpass all others, and are conveniently located just a short drive from the usual food place. Lithia is the place to go for an amazing dining experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the country fried steak and the best tater tots ever. The service was excellent, and the food was carefully prepared just for me. The Hamburg well you will have to try it ! Yummy

Stopped in the Hitching Post Cafe while in the area today. The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious. Real home cooked food! Definitely recommend.

Just heard of this place. They opened nearly 3 weeks ago. Not a fancy place at all. Don’t let the lack of decor make you decide to drive by.
Friendly staff to greet you. At least 5 people that were there helping to serve and take care of customers. Plenty of seating booths and tables. Looked to be very clean and organized.
I opted for their “best” breakfast which was the Hitchin’ Post Skillet. $10.00 a pop it better be. I came out on a sizzling cast iron skillet and had a mound of potatoes, bacon, sausage, 2 eggs (cooked to order), onions, peppers, and cheese. It was a beast! I ordered a cup of grits and a coffee.
The skillet was awesome! Lots of flavor and despite its size I managed to put it away. The grits were the best part. Super creamy and hot. I had to complement the cook for it.
Talking with the server she said everything on the menu (pies) were made in house. The key lime looked legit.
I’m impressed enough that I’d come back. Breakfast was great and hours later I’m not starving for my next meal.
The server claims they have a great grouper sandwich and filets. I’ll have to make it a point to return. Definitely worth going a bit out of your way for this one. I forsee this being a place for weekend bikers due to the location.

The restaurant was clean and they have interesting merchandise for sale at the front, I got the hitchin skillet and it was a very delicious, everything cooked to perfection and a substantial amount of ingredients, I’m sure it could feed two and had a more than fair price. The only issue was the service, Courtney waited on me and her attendance to my needs were below average as well as her mannerisms, it wasnt a great first impression but nevertheless the kitchen did an outstanding job on my meal, hopefully next time I’ll have an even better experience.

Food was cold even after a long wait. Only food item hot was the egg. Rest was cold. Potatoes, bacon , biscuit and sausage gravy.
Waitress was not knowledgeable about menu. When we stated that the online menu did not match the in-store menu, she said yes the online menu was over two years old and was not accurate. She said she had no idea why it was not updated.
We ask about the Seabreeze style crab and she said she was not sure of the price or when they were available. but our complaint is not really with a waitress that obviously needed more training. It was more with the food and the quality, and the fact that it was cold after a long wait.
