The staff were extremely kind and pleasant.
As for the food, it really depends on personal taste: elaborate dishes and traditional Mexican ingredients that aren’t for everyone. The lechón doradito was definitely delicious but the starters didn’t really impress us (again, personal taste).
The location certainly shines more in good weather, unfortunately we happened to catch a very cold evening and it was cold even inside the restaurant.
Prices are a bit high for what is offered.

Wow! What can I say to properly do this place, and it’s wonderful staff, proper justice?
The food is authentic, imaginative, fresh, and most importantly delicious.
We only had two days in the city, but having enjoyed a marvellous lunch we simply had to return to experience what can only be described as the best brunch sandwich in the world!! OMG!! It was phenominal. So good in fact, that we purchased another to have on our bus ride to Oaxaca.
The restaurant itself matches the food. Warm, welcoming, and beautifully arramged.
The proprietors are wonderful. Kind, friendly, and clearly passionate about their food.
Our only disappointment was not seeing more people here to experience such a wonderful culinary experience. The restaurant is only a short walk from the town centre, so make sure you experience this place.

The interior is dreamy and rustic. Beautiful hand paintings of birds and florals delicately painted on the walls.
We were so impressed by the owner’s presentation. So much details on everything – the food and the settings were beautifully executed. One could feel so much love put into this restaurant. Our lunch was outstanding. Suzanna created flavoursome dishes. We had suckling pork and burger for main. Our desserts were exquisite. So delicate and moreish. One of our favourite restaurant in San Cristobal.
Highly recommend this unique restaurant.

What a cute spot is this little hidden gem.
The styling of the garden and inside is amazingly done.
The service is very good. They will give you a little appetizer for free which was a nice surprise. Price quality is perfect!

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The environment is beautiful and intimate – also with a great playlist! The food was 10/10 with quality ingredients and prime flavor combinations. I’d come back to San Cristobal just for this restaurant.

A must try for foodies visiting San Cristobal! The lechon (suckling pig) is very crispy and juicy, with the perfect manchamantel apple sauce. The beef tongue stew is so tender and goes really well with the tortillas. We also tried eating the beef tongue with the green mole and the apple sauce together in a tortilla and it is HEAVEN. I’m really sad that on the night we came the Nicuatole ran out, but we tried the pox with milk and fig leaf made by the chef. It’s so good. The chef comes out every time to explain the dishes and she is very friendly and passionate. The restaurant is very cozy with tasteful furnishing. I really hope I could come here again during our stay but sadly it’s closed on Wednesdays. Wishing you great success — this place truly deserves to thrive!

Absolutely amazing small gem of a restaurant. We’ve been in Mexico for a few weeks now, and this is the best food we had so far. (And yes, that includes a Michelin star restaurant). Service was a little awkward at times (which might partly be caused by culture and language barriers), but it was friendly and fun, and the food really blew us away. I’d recommend the suckling pig and the gaznate de pulque to anyone. There’s things to improve (if you label a dish as ‘to share’, don’t provide 3 items to two persons), but those are details. The chef is great, the atmosphere is great, and we loved every second of it. We’re only in this town for a few days, but might return.

Stumbled across this amazing restaurant modern Mexican cuisine… What a find! They gave us some nice bread & dips to start the salsa verde was delightful. We then had the suckling pig tacos which were divine & the burger was super tasty… I’d highly recommend going here, best food so far on our trip & it will be hard to beat… The couple that opened it recently are very friendly & explain all the delightful ingredients in their beautiful created dishes, the ambiance & decor are 5* too… Will be back here next time!
