Marshall Restaurant

This is a down home restaurant that serves up all the basic fixings that you Would expect of this establishment. Would expect of this establishment

You can have breakfast if you want. Bacon and eggs and biscuits and toast and gravy.

Or you could go for something more since it’s a cheeseburger basket.

Or they have daily specials that vary from day to day such as meatloaf and potatoes.

The restaurant is very basic, very simple and seems very fairly priced.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Portion sizes are very moderate.

It’s not a fancy restaurant with a gourmet menu. It is a good small town, home cooking kind of restaurant at a price that won’t break your wallet. It is the kind of place that all the locals go to. The service was excellent!

Joe was our server and she was simply wonderful. Your coffee cup will never be empty. The service is excellent, the food is exactly what you want from a classic diner, and the atmosphere is lowkey and the perfect respite from travel.

Pork chops were tender and delicious, eggs cooked perfectly, biscuits baked to perfection… don’t miss this spot on your travels.

So, great customer service for sure. It had mixed teviews so gave it a shot. The food was soo bad though. I thought country area would be good country food. The over easy eggs were overcooked with no yolk. The omelet was super salty, overcooked and so dry. The biscuits were were bad. Just cafeteria food. But the price was cheap. Makes sense, but the customer service was great.

First time here. We came from Springfield, Mo to hike. Decided to stop here for breakfast. Joe was a wonderful lady, with great service and a smile. Our breakfast was really good. I like my eggs, over easy, and they were cooked to perfection. Didn’t pass this place up. The only thing we didn’t like was, we had to miss the fish fry for lunch

I got the chicken fried steak breakfast with biscuits and gravy. The eggs weren’t exactly cooked the way I wanted them and they tasted like old grease like the grill hadn’t been cleaned properly. The biscuits were like what I call whopping biscuits. The chicken fried steak and the hash browns were good though. The price was reasonable.

Nice home style breakfast. I asked for CRISPY bacon and it actually came that way! (I detest flaccid bacon!) Very pleasant staff. There is a sweet older lady (the Mom?) that sells the jelly she makes. BUY THE JELLY! I got Plum and it is WONDERFUL! The jalepeño pepper jelly is also quite good. Next time we go through Marshall I’m getting more. (She had strawberry, blackberry, and a couple of others, too.)

This was the *oddest* place. The owners were very unfriendly. The room was around $45 plus tax. There was orange carpet, paneled walls and old school tube tv’s. It was the only place we could find for the night on our way to Buffalo National River. I will say that the beds were clean and the area was very quiet. There was no fridge, microwave or amenities of any kind. I am pretty sure the restaurant part was not even in operation. It reminded me of the rose motel from Schițz Creek.
