If you havent been to big dans you must go! Everything is homemade and amazing!! Dan makes you feel so welcome every visit. If you like butterscotch his butterscotch pie is the absolute BEST!! I’ve tried more than half the menu and never had something that wasnt great! Best food in Elizabethton by far!

Nice little hidden gem in Elizabethton T,N. We was looking for a place and gave it a try and did it ever deliver. Got Sliced beef Sandwich, brisket Sandwich, fries and fried pickles.
Both Sandwiches was amazing, alot of meat and a great smoke to them, the bbq was amazing not to spicy and not to sweet , the fries and fried pickles was good also. We will go back and visit when we are in the area again and wanting some good bbq

It was okay. The brisket had way too much fat that should’ve been trimmed. The Mac n cheese tasted watered down to me. The fries were fantastic. My husband ate the burnt ends, he said they weren’t soft and were tough to eat. Having 9 burnt ends and they had a solid inch 1/2 of fat is a little much.. I was surprised also about how greasy and fatty the brisket was to be a 20.00 meal, I also would expect a bigger portion than what I received. The lady working was really nice.

We enjoyed lunch at Big Dan’s after white water rafting at Wahoo’s. It was really good! I had the brisket (trimmed) and the others in our party enjoyed the BBQ sandwiches and burnt ends. The pies are made in house and are Great!

Went to Big Dans on Saturday night during a car show/cruise in. Simple, comfortable, environment! Walls loaded down with local high school football and sport memorabilia. One of those good small town feelings! I had the burnt ends with greens, my wife had the sliced brisket! All the food was great! Hot, fresh, made with love. My favorite part about small family owned bbq places like this is the variety of homemade bbq sauces. This place didn’t disappoint! Great food, we loved it, and will be back!

Ribs and burnt ends were good. Small portion on the burnt ends. Chicken was alright. Potato salad was good, but not so much their Mac & Cheese and Green Collards. Service was great. Overall, good BBQ place.

Stopped in today for the first time as I’m only in town for a day or 2. Great food. I had the brisket sandwich and wow was it good. Definitely would recommend this place. Staff there is super sweet.

Great Bbq! Show up early as they sell out if you’re late. They were sold out of burnt ends so we got the pulled pork, it was delicious. All the sides are good, really liked the Mac & cheese. Would recommend if you’re in the area.
