A group of 7 came for my mother’s 83rd birthday. It was a friday night at 4:30. We got seated quickly and our server was fantastic. She was attentive the entire time. She brought chips and salsa which was slammin!!! The margaritas were excellent. The food prices were a bit steep but where arent they anymore? The entrees we got were enchilada’s supreme, a chimnechanga, a California burrito, steak taco, a tropical taco and 2 fajita quesadillas. Only one complaint and that was the tacos weren’t traditional tacos. But he liked them so it didnt matter. They surprised everyone by brining my mother fried ice cream, a sombrero and a group of singers. It was SO MUCH FUN and super appreciated. It made the night so special for my mother. I HAVENT SEEN HER LAUGH LIKE THAT IN MANY YEARS!!!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!!

The food was ok, but the worst part was the portion size. Virtually all entries were approximately $20, but there weren’t very big. The kids meals were very small and cost $9.00 (no drink, no side, no dessert).
The facility was neat and in good shape. Many bright colors and will maintained details. Upstairs has little sitting areas that can feel more private. The night we were there there was live music playing. It was very well done and not overwhelming for the atmosphere.

This place has potential. The food was good, loved the ribeye tacos. The margaritas were also good. The sercice needs a bit of work though. Our waitress was polite and didn’t rush us but also seemed to forget about us at times.
15 minutes from her dropping off he check before waving at here to come run the card.. Overall it’s a good place and I will give it another shot.

We went in Christmas Eve which was much appreciated they were even open because my family and I were desperate for food.

The food was FANTASTIC! And massive portions. FYI – there’s not a lot of vegetarian options but they’re super accommodating and can sub meat for extra veggies.

Alexandra was super sweet, they ran out of their mango syrup and she gave us one with real mango, unfortunately this was not super sweet but gave us other one the house!

Our server, I’m forgetting his name ☹️, was also super sweet and very accommodating.

Drinks were 10/10, huge portions.

Best tacos of my entire life. I had the rib eye tacos. I’ll be dreaming of them they were that good. 5 star service with Alan even though he got swamped. Ordered a tequila mango mojito which came in a huge glass and did not disappoint

Good food, fun bright decor. (A bit too bright) Food prices are a bit high. Stellar Service is king, and they are figuring it out.

Meals come with sides. We enjoyed the rice and refried beans. Nice to get the crunchy chips and salsa while waiting for food.

There are a lot of components to a great restaurant.. food, drinks, vibe and service. They’re doing a good job here. Try it out!

EXCELLENT! You can easily forget you’re in Allentown, PA the atmosphere of this lovely little restaurant is both effervescent and perfectly cozy. Everything is delicious, packed with flavour and savory! They are a touch too generous with the salt, but the dishes and the signature margaritas, all fantastic! The place is a little gem in this unexpected location at the end of a cutoff/cul-de-sac. Jeimy (pronounced Jamie) was tending bar for my first visit and she could not be more refreshing and professional! Thank you! Bravo!! PS – Order Quesabirria!! Amazing!! Also generous portions, I could only eat one of the 3 and I was full. Enjoy!!

Nothing special. The price definitely doesn’t match the food quality or ambiance.
Found even the veggies very oily.
Restaurant layout makes it feel quite claustrophobic.
In general, quite out of the way location as well.
Server was very helpful and also nice that they split up a dish into separate plates for us since two people in our party were planning on sharing it.

Absolutely bizarre experience. Tonight, three of us went to My Tequila House. We love the food at the McArthur Rd location and thought we’d try this location assuming it wouldn’t be as busy. And we were *dying* for good Mexican food.

We were greeted kindly, sat right away, was told that our waitress would be right over and then sat for 25 minutes before even getting water. We kept trying to make eye contact with anyone or politely wave someone down after 15 minutes. Three other tables were sat and greeted after us, and given water and nachos and salsa. One table put in their order!

Finally, we got the attention of someone who said “Ok I’ll let the hostess know.” Another few minutes went by before the hostess (very sweet and kind) explained “I hope you’re not mad at us, it’s not the wait staff’s fault, the hostess forgot to let her know so please don’t be mad at her.” We said we understood and decided to wait more, only to wait another 5 minutes for the waitress, who passed us several times and only had one other table, at least in the upstairs dining room. The waitress only came up to us when we got up to leave, apologized for the wait and surprised that we chose to leave, offered us free drinks. At that point, I admit, we were starving and annoyed (probably because we were starving lol), so we went to another restaurant in town. I have to add, I’ve *never* just up and left a restaurant, but waiting 30 minutes while you see other people arrive after you and get served is quite a vibe, I wish they would have been more proactive about accommodating us.

Super disappointed, the food here is so good and we were looking forward to it for a couple days, but likely won’t return…

Let me start this review by saying I am, and remain, a huge fan of the Macarthur Road location. Nothing in this review should reflect on that establishment.

This place was just bad.

It started with the service. It took well over 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us after we were seated. Then we ordered drinks and another 15-20 minutes go by before they were served. We were a party of 4 and ordered 2 house margaritas, 1 virgin Pina Colada and a Coke. The margaritas tasted like straight sour mix. Not even a hit of tequila. Sad for a place called “Tequila House”. Then, when we got the check, they charged us $13.00 for the virgin Pina Colada. The “alcoholic” margaritas were only $9.00.

Then the meal eventually came. I ordered the Rib Eye Tacos. As you can see in the pictures, I doubt there was 6 oz of meat spread across all three tacos. It would have been fine as an appetizer, but as a dinner item, it was horrible. Ok, the meat was small, but to top it off, it was dried out and chewy. I was actually looking forward to them because I had the same meal at the other location a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. This was just awful. I actually had to come home and make myself something else to eat because there wasn’t any filling in these tacos. The pictures speak for themselves. I took a picture after I was finished eating the meat portion of all three. You can see that at least half of the taco is still there.

Then my daughter order simple cheese quesadillas. They were initially charing us $18.00 for them. Inexcusable. We spoke to the manager and they corrected the price to $10.00, but still.

The bottom line is, the service was horrible, the margaritas were absolutely terrible, and the quality of the food was pathetic. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location again.

UPDATE: 03/08/25

Wow, I guess the truth hurts.

Ownership came back and deleted their initial comment where they chose to insult me for describing my experience. Now, they are flat laying out about providing me a discount on the meal. I posted the receipt in the initial post. There is no discount. We were initially charged $18 for chicken quesadillas, but we ordered plain cheese quesadillas. The quesadillas was served WITHOUT chicken and the bill was updated to reflect the price of what was server.

To be fair, the server did OFFER to remove the rib eye taco from the bill after we mentioned how little actual meat was provided. I kindly declined their offer and did indeed pay the full price for the meal because it would not be fair take the refund AND publicly write this review. I chose TO PAY and leave this comment rather than quietly accept the refund. Again, look at the receipt. Do I need to post the line item from my card statement as evidence for the price we paid?

After this childish display of responses from ownership, I will no longer be frequenting either of the “My Tequila House” locations. Perhaps they should focus more on the quality of the food and service rather than insulting people in google comments.
