Reviews
And I wanna write this review for those not sure if they should get the duck or not.
Cause I know the current reviews are like one good, one bad.
But! The duck is not dry or tough at all!
It’s very juicy and we all love it!
I love the soup so much and the short rib was perfect!
Being here with a larger group we enjoyed the oysters, tuna poke, scallops and salads. Everything is tasty, well cooked and well paired.
My family and I began our meal with appetizers, choosing Fried Green Tomatoes, She Crab Bisque, and the bread special (toasted points with roasted garlic). The tomatoes and bisque were quite delightful! For the main course, I opted for the Mussels appetizer, while my sister-in-law enjoyed the Braised Short Ribs, and my niece selected the Halibut special. We accompanied our dishes with crispy Romano Brussels Sprouts and Potatoes Au Gratin. Although the presentation was undeniably artistic, I found the halibut to be slightly dry, and the tarragon in the mussels could have been better balanced. For dessert, we indulged in the Pot de Crème and Beignets, both of which were absolutely delicious! Our server, Allison, was outstanding—she was attentive and accommodating without being intrusive.
The service for our table definitely could have been better. We had planned on ordering after dinner drinks, coffees & deserts but our bills were brought out without offering dessert. You could just tell the server did not want to be there that evening. Very sad – made for a poor experience for all of us.
Also, the restaurant is located on the second level and does not have an elevator. There is an elevator in the hotel tower which you have to access by being escorting through the kitchen. Very poor design. We all loved our food but would seriously have to think about returning….
Started with She Crab soup. Great texture and flavor. They put just enough sherry on top.
Fried green tomatoes were my wife’s favorite. She tried them at a few different places during our stay at the beach too, she said no comparison.
Braised rib just fell apart. Insanely good. Just enough fat for flavor but plenty of meat. The brussel sprouts also on point and potatoes au gratin topped it off!
My wife said the salmon was very tasty and tender, yet still had a crispy layer of skin. She loved it!
The rum punch drink was almost too good. Could have easily had many more they were so easy to drink.
We will absolutely be back here again next Litchfield visit!
Customer service was excellent.
The restaurant is being run efficiently in every way .
The food that needed to be hot was hot. The food that needed to be cool was cool. The options on the drinks menu were many and very mindful of the clientele.
They got our Food and drinks order right on the first time. Nothing needed to go back. Everything was prepared and cooked exactly as requested and the steak melted in your mouth. The fish cooked perfectly , clean tasting, the glassware, plates, silverware, were all clean , Everything was tidy
The staff moved through the restaurant stealthy and consistently, and was always on point with making sure all guests had what they needed.
TIDE TO TABLE was not just a meal. It was a culinary experience. Just look at the presentation!!
We really didn’t eat – we savored the meal. We left content not over stuffed not under fed , completely satisfied , the price point was spot on!!
The presentation and the tempo of delivery of the food was perfect the combination of conversation with staff and guests in my opinion at our table and mood at sunset made it one of the most unique experiences we’ve had in Litchfield. It doesn’t even compare to any other restaurants in the area , they are in a class of their own, Here the quality and level of service is so good you feel that the entire staff works like a fine tuned machine to help you create a cherished memory, not just a meal. This is a place that has been needed for a very very long time, Cheers to getting back to creating memories.
We will definitely be back.
