We visited this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, expecting a pleasant and authentic Italian dining experience. Instead, we were met with outright rudeness and what felt like discriminatory treatment.

From the moment we sat down, the waitress behaved unprofessionally. She threw the menu on the table, avoided eye contact, and bluntly told us only three pizzas were available. Shortly after, another customer ordered two pizzas for takeaway, which directly contradicted what we were told and raised serious concerns about honesty.

The most disturbing part was the obvious difference in how customers were treated. British guests at a nearby table were served with enthusiasm, smiles, and attention. In contrast, we were treated coldly and dismissively throughout our visit. The difference in behavior was impossible to ignore and made us feel unwelcome and disrespected.

The food quality was also poor. The Aglio e Olio was excessively oily and completely unbalanced. After eating it, my friend experienced stomach pain. Despite this, the chef dismissed our concern by stating that he is Italian and that this is how the dish is prepared, even though photos in Google reviews clearly show the dish served properly. We were also never asked about food allergies, which is a serious lapse in basic restaurant standards.

We were never offered drinks. When we asked for tap water, the waitress responded with a rude two seconds, further reinforcing the hostile attitude.

This experience went beyond poor service. No customer should feel ignored, disrespected, or treated differently because of who they are. Management urgently needs to address staff behavior, food consistency, and basic hospitality standards.

My friends and I have been coming here for the best part of two years now, and at times we’ve been visiting week after week. That alone says it all.

Hands down, this is the best authentic Italian food in Swansea — you’ll be hard pressed to find anything that even comes close. The quality, flavour, and consistency are always spot on.

It’s a well-run, well-established family business that genuinely seems to have its customers’ enjoyment at heart. You can tell there’s real care and pride in both the food and the service. Kudos to Luisa and Mas!

We’ll definitely keep coming back — highly recommended.

We were looking for an Italian restaurant for dinner and ‘My God’ we found this fantastic place La Toscana. It’s a compact restaurant but 100% worthy. Next time when we are in Swansea- this is a must visit place.

Visited as a group of 10 for the second year running. An exceptional Italian dinner, typical of napolitan style cooking. Those favouring crisp thin pizzas of the North may find the Naples style pizza a little heavy, but still absolutely delicious.

The range of bruschettas and garlic breads were incredible.

Highly recommend, with a warm welcome from the owners. Prices may come across as high, but 99% of the time the dish is absolutely worth it.

Will hopefully return next year!

My wife and I were in Swansea for the weekend and had no idea where to eat. We were walking and looking at the restaurants without anything in mind. My wife spotted them and asked me if I wanted Italian food. I just wanted something cooked and not a kebab or a burger, so we went in and WOW! We were blown away. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating ( I asked for tagliatelle instead of penne and they did it right away) The best Italian restaurant by far. We couldn’t eat dessert but obviously asked for takeaway.

I popped in on the evening of 31.1.26 having played at the AFYM at the Guildhall.

I ordered a large pizza which was delicious, washed down with a small glass of vino rosso. For dessert I had vanilla ice cream.

The service was excellent, and I was able to practise my very poor Italian. Grazie!

Me and my partner ordered a lasagne each and a coffee that came too almost fifty pounds. The lasagne was cold and reheated and dry throughout, me and my partner have now been sick multiple times. Something not right.

I wanted to like this place as my partner loves italian food but it just wasnt it.
