I’d maybe be back for a drink, but wouldn’t plan to eat there. Much better Italian food in Mount Pleasant and Charleston.
There was a slight delay in getting seated due to the party before us, which wasn’t a big deal. Our waitress introduced herself, and we started browsing the menu. It was a Friday evening—the start of the weekend—but unfortunately, we were told that seafood dishes weren’t available, which cut out nearly half of the menu options.
Service was slow. It took a long time for food to arrive, and even more time between courses. Some guests didn’t order appetizers, so the wait felt even longer for them. One dish arrived with a hair in it, which the kitchen re-cooked, but it still left a bad impression.
Service overall felt below expectations for a restaurant in this price range. Our drinks were often empty and we had to ask for refills or wine to be poured—no one was checking in. When our meals finally came out, servers didn’t know who ordered what, so we had to go back to the menu to sort things out ourselves.
We were a group of 10, and the final bill came out to over $900—even though only 3 of us were drinking alcohol. While the food itself was enjoyable and well-prepared, the experience didn’t quite justify the cost.
I’d say the food is solid, but the service needs to match the pricing. I’d be open to giving it another try and will update this review if my next visit improves.
We began with the burrata appetizer, beautifully paired with fresh peaches and vibrant pesto—creamy, sweet, and savory all in one bite. For the main course, the squid ink pasta with crab meat and mussels was nothing short of spectacular. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the seafood fresh and tender, and the flavors wonderfully balanced. Our server, Georgia, provided superior attention to detail throughout the evening—anticipating needs, timing each course flawlessly, and making us feel genuinely welcome. Abbracci nails both the art of Italian cooking and the warmth of true hospitality. We’ll be back soon!
Update after restaurants response… for example, on your website the burata appetizer is $18, I was charged $23 on my receipt. I’m not saying I was necessarily charged more for take out, but I’m saying either I was scammed or you raised your prices and did not update your website.
Loved the decor, seated immediately with reservation, drinks came right away. Focaccia Bread was amazing, we shared a Caesar salad../I would get dressing on the side next time. It was large enough to split. the Veal Picatta was equally as amazing. My husband had the grouper and it was delicious as well. We pray this place stays in Mt Pleasant! Hope to eat on their beautiful patio next time!
