We waited for our food for over an hour. We asked to leave off the chili seasoning on my daughter’s salmon because she is allergic. They brought it out with the seasoning on it so we sent it back. We had to wait awhile longer for them to remake it and my daughter was starving by this point. They brought it out the second time after my husband and I had already finished eating, but the piece of salmon was only about 1/3 the size of the original entree and in addition, it was not good. My husband’s chicken was tasteless. I ordered a crab cake which was okay, but I’ve had much better elsewhere. Sadly, the only good thing about this experience was the pretty view of the river. We ended up going to the market downstairs and getting my daughter a muffin and fruit because they were sold out of sandwiches at 7:30 p.m.

We celebrated my birthday here and the staff was very attentive and made us feel special. The restaurant has amazing river views so you can find a table just overlooking the river. The menu is great, we got the shrimp and grits and short rib. Everything tasted excellent! The cheesecake as part of the birthday celebration was cherry on the top. It was delicious and very rich.

The ambiance was business casual with an old Savannah charm featuring belt driven ceiling fans and a beautiful view of the river and grounds. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was good but not great. We had the Shrimp cocktail, Bacon cheeseburger, She crab soup and Caesar salad.

I was a solo diner (staying at the Westin) that just wanted something kind of quick and nice – Aqua Star was perfect! I just got the Mac and cheese, and a beer, and everything was good. The Mac and cheese was delicious and piping hot, the rolls for the table were so nice and warm, the beer was good , and my server Clarence was very quickly and so professional. And it was nice and relaxed when I was there – just a few tables full (thankfully since the lobby bar area was loud and busy, and I didn’t want to go across the river again). Not awkwardly empty, just relaxed and other tables were chatting quietly.
I really enjoyed my meal. Zero complains, only praise. I’d totally come here again when staying. I wanted to leave a comment since the TripAdvisor posts were bad, but most people bother with TripAdvisor to complain. The Mac and cheese tasted great, great service, great atmosphere and view, and great convenience as a hotel guest.

Nicole the manager was awesome made sure we got our food just the way we like. She deserves recognition for her outstanding customer service. Max was very friendly he took pride in the preparation of the food to my room with a friendly attitude which is not common these days. Thats why I tipped so much because I appreciate Great service with great attitude and Fabulous food. Great Job this was the best part of my Savannah trip

Delicious food! He had dinner and it was a very good experience, everyone in the table was very happy with their diners. I ordered the NY Steak and was very tasty cooked to perfection! We also had breakfast, it was very good! Staff and servers very attentive and filling to help all the time! Highly recommend this place!

The reviews are true. Very long waits. Cold food, spotty quality and service, cold atmosphere. The sea bass was quite good, which is the 2nd star. They were out of half the items on the menu, and drinks were inconsistent and very slow.

April 1 – Saturday we attended the USA Men’s Region 8 Gymnastics Championships at the Savannah Convention Center in Savannah. The event was ending late in the evening and the only accessible restaurant on this Savannah side of the river was located at the Westin next door. Ordered the beet salad (half) $14 and Maple Glazed Tofu Salad ($17)…total $36.17.
We crossed the river as we were staying at the Hilton Garden.
The salads look nice and tasted great but were too small (bite size) for the price of $36.17 (See pictures)…smaller than an appetizer. We had to seek another restaurant around 9 PM because the salads were not going to be enough for dinner.
Contacted the Food Manager Mark Szemetylo on April 2 to find out if this was normal. He offered two complimentary Starbucks beverages from the Morning Star Cafe at the Westin via email….but at that point we were back in NC.
