A huge congratulations to you all, and heartfelt thanks for bringing such authentic South Indian cuisine to the Swansea community. What you have created is truly special. The passion, effort, and love behind your journey are so evident—not just in the food, but in the story you’ve shared on your website. You have already won hundreds of hearts, and I sincerely wish this continues to multiply. May your team and master chefs stay blessed as you keep serving our hearts and tummies with delicacies made with love, care, and passion.
Moving from South India to the UK, I never initially craved home food. But over time, it made me realise how often we take things for granted when they’re easily available. As the years passed, wherever I travelled, I found myself craving only dosa, idly, sambar vada, and biryani—and putting in all the effort to make batter at home!
There is something incredibly special about being cooked for and served by someone else. And when it comes from an authentic, flawless kitchen like yours, we simply surrender to it. As a true foodie, I always look forward to authenticity, whatever the cuisine—and your food delivers exactly that.
Best wishes to the entire team for a wonderful journey ahead
The dosas were outstanding – perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and flavourful inside, and served with a delicious selection of chutneys and sambar. You can truly taste the freshness of the ingredients. We also tried some starters, and the Gobi 65 and Chicken 65 were exceptional – perfectly spiced, crispy, and packed with flavour. They were the perfect way to begin the meal.
To complement the food, we enjoyed a beautifully brewed masala tea, rich and aromatic, and a refreshing coconut mojito that was light, cooling, and unique. Both drinks paired wonderfully with the dishes and added to the overall experience.
One of the highlights is that Sunday buffets are also offered, which is a fantastic option for families or groups wanting to sample a variety of dishes. It’s great value for money and a wonderful way to explore different flavours in one visit.
Location-wise, it’s very convenient. Parking at David’s Car Park is just nearby, which makes visiting stress-free, especially during busy times in the city centre.
Overall, this dosa bar is a fantastic addition to Swansea’s food scene. Whether you’re a longtime lover of South Indian cuisine or trying dosa for the first time, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended – we’ll certainly be returning soon!
Only downside the hand dryer in the ladies is so slow!!
Lamb Chukka with Chapathi – the lamb was cooked beautifully, full of flavour, and the portion size was very generous.
Special mention to the chapathi: this is the first restaurant I’ve been to that actually serves chapathi made from scratch, not supermarket tortillas. That alone deserves appreciation.
Ambur Chicken Biryani – really good taste and, again, very generous with the meat. Every bite felt satisfying.
Idly – loved the wide range of chutneys. Each one had its own distinct flavour and was delicious.
The ambience deserves a mention too. You can see the effort that’s gone into it – instead of just wallpapers or printed images, there are thoughtful props and frames that add character and warmth to the space.
I heard the restaurant was started by founders from different states of India, and you can truly feel that in the food – different regional influences coming together in perfect harmony.
A small thank you for giving us an experience that made us feel the closest to home we could be.
