My husband and I recently visited and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. We decided to keep things simple and share the lobster roll along with a basket of tots, and it turned out to be the perfect choice.
One of the highlights of our visit was the bartender, who was incredibly helpful in recommending beers that would complement our meal. We ended up trying the hazy IPA and the dry-hopped IPA, and both paired beautifully with the lobster roll. The hazy IPA offered soft citrus notes that enhanced the sweetness of the lobster, while the dry-hopped IPA provided a crisp, refreshing contrast that balanced the richness of the sandwich.
When our waiter delivered the food, we asked for a knife to split the roll. He thoughtfully returned with not only a knife but also an extra basket so we could easily share our meal, which made the experience feel especially attentive and accommodating.
The lobster roll itself was impressive, featuring large, generous chunks of lobster that allowed the natural flavor to shine. I appreciated that it wasn’t overly mayo-heavy like some versions can be; instead, it tasted light, fresh, and well balanced. The tots were equally fantastic — perfectly crispy with just the right amount of seasoning.
We also noticed a game shelf stocked with a variety of options, making this a great spot to linger with friends and enjoy a relaxed, social atmosphere. Another nice touch was the to-go cooler, which allows guests to purchase beers to take home if they discover a favorite during their visit.
Overall, between the friendly service, thoughtful beer pairing guidance, quality food, and inviting atmosphere, this is a place we genuinely enjoyed and look forward to returning to.

Awesome casual dining atmosphere. Went for breakfast and the drip coffee and burritos were crazy good. Haven’t tried the beer but will have to swing back to try a different meal.

What put this place over the edge for me was the combination of the quality of their food, beer and atmosphere. We just wanted a quick bite and glass of beer. I really enjoyed their beer selection. I got to taste a few and I would be happy with any of them. Our food was really good. The items on the menu are limited, but everything we had was great. I tried the BLT and my son tried their chili dog. They have a nice indoor section as well as an outdoor patio.

Enjoyed the 2026 burger battle burger entry. I would recommend going if you haven’t already. I want to go back and try some of their regular menu items.

We were just enjoying the Sculpture walk and stumbled upon Fernson’s. It was early in the morning and we had already eaten breakfast, but you always have room for a drink, right? Well I had the Earl Grey Creme and it was just the best cup of tea I had every had and young lady from MN told us so much about the beers I ended up tasting a few. It had been several decades since I had beer at breakfast, but damn they were good. I would love to go back the next time we are through Sioux. Take the time a stop by. Your a friend and you didn’t even know it.

Very disappointing experience. Shortly after we paid and had just started our meal, staff brought us boxes and asked us to leave without any explanation. We complied, but it was confusing and uncomfortable to be rushed out like that. Later we were told it was because an employee knew me from the past and simply didn’t want me there.
Unfortunately, personal matters should never affect how customers are treated. Professionalism and basic customer service go a long way in creating a welcoming environment.

We came for the burger battle! This was one of my favorite burgers! I would recommend adding to the regular menu! Amazing. We also had cheese curds, and the pretzel bites and ordered amazing drinks! Gotta make this a regular go to for date night!

We tried a can of Shy Giant IPA at a campground in the Badlands National Park and knew we had to make a stop at this brewery while we passed through Sioux Falls, SD. This place has some GREAT beer. If you’re an IPA fan, definitely try the Shy Giant and Gallivant Batch 11 on tap. Some of the best IPAs we’ve had in a while. There’s also a neighboring burger joint with a large shaded patio and a coffee bar on sight. The vibe is chill!

Food was great and the beers were delicious. The bartenders were more than happy to talk about the beers and give a sampler. It was also my first time in the downtown area, definitely want to make it back to. Heck out the whole area.

Husband wanted to check it out so I ordered the Wagoo burger with gf bun and he order the Texas Smash burger. Guys, the burgers were good but the star of our meal was the fries…. When I tell you they were glorious, I truly mean it. They were crispy and the kind of crispy you only hear about on food network shows or some nonsense. They didn’t need the ketchup but it added just what I needed for the extra zing. Also, leave it to us to go to a place known for it’s beer and order a root beer. Guys, they don’t even have non-alcoholic drinks on the menu. But, burgers were great. GF bun was on point and very soft. But those fries….
