First time eating at Padgett’s and I’ll be back! The food was delicious and the service was very good. I had a Sunday lunch of baked ham, green beans, and mashed potatoes. Everything seemed to made from scratch and with a whole lotta love. P.S. I needed to use the restroom while I was there and it was very clean.

A small town, local restaurant. A friendly and fun environment with reasonable prices and friendly staff. The food was unremarkable, but not bad. Nice to support a local restaurant instead of a chain, but honestly I don’t know that I would go back.

A little disappointing. Limited variety stressing a 1-meat,2 vegetable lunch special for $8.00. I had some excellent fried chicken, but my son’s chicken was a small portion and rather dry and overcooked. Vegetable were southern good. My wife had just vegetables and was charged the lunch special price. Service was a little slow and not very inviting. No one was wearing masks including the people serving. Open Wednesday through Sunday until about 2pm. To get above a three star, I would have to desire coming back.

Wonderful little family-owned restaurant serving home cooked style country meals. Mrs Padgett took our order and Mr Padgett brought our food to the table. We had a chance to visit with both, they are a lovely and friendly couple.
DW ordered meatloaf, cucumber salad, potato salad and biscuit. I ordered the chicken and rice casserole, pinto beans, cabbage and cornbread. Our food arrived quickly, hot and was delicious. We were so taken with everything that we returned again the following day on the way home.

Came through on a road trip with our grandkids & we loved it! Great homecooking, wonderful service, & the prices were more than reasonable. The free crosses at checkout definitely got the kids’ attention & led to a great discussion about our ability to be a witness for Christ in any situation.

This little hideaway is my go to while at deer camp. Wished they were open longer on Friday and Saturday because I would eat here breakfast, lunch and dinner. Had breakfast this morning, other salmon breakfast platter and it was delicious. The service and atmosphere is great as well. If you are ever in the area you won’t be disappointed in your decision to eat here.

Stopped into this die-hard American roadside café to grab some breakfast. Let me start with this place is more patriotic than ANY DEFAC or Chow Hall I’ve ever visited. I decided to try the Western omelet with a biscuit and a side of grits. Being a northerner I enjoy maple syrup in my grits, nothing needed! These grits were PERFECT!!! The omelet was worth every penny, and that biscuit was stick to your ribs good. Looking forward to trying lunch or dinner next.

If you want home-style cooking, good sized portions, at a reasonable price, this is the place. The menu is a simple one (and subject to change). It will be what they have and what they’re making when you’re there. You won’t wait long for your order and it will be fresh and hot. The service is friendly, and it’s quite likely that the owners will be there when you are. By the way, if you like fried okra, you owe it to yourself to try it here. Definitely made from scratch fresh (like everything else).

We were traveling through and stopped for lunch. Thought the name would reflect home cooking. Big Mistake
Ordered fried chicken. It literally came out 2 minutes later. It was not freshly made, it was so dry and was heated in a microwave. My husband had the fried fish, same issue.
The only thing that was good was the coleslaw and that was store bought. Such a shame. This could be a popular place if food was made fresh to order.

Wish there was a 10 Star option! Thank you for such a great meal. We had their special: 1meat and 2 veg! I love good home-cooked food, and it is a bonus when the people appreciate that you are there. Just traveling through town, wished we lived closer. God bless!
