Sarku japan is easily my favourite restaurant in cordova mall. with friendly staff and absolutely heavenly teriyaki chicken, it’s more than worth it to come to the mall just for the food. if you order in person, they make the entire meal in front of you, it’s always hot and fresh

I’d give this meal a solid thumbs-up . The glazed chicken is juicy, the rice is fluffy, and the side of sautéed veggies adds a nice balance. Definitely what I’d call a “comfort food win”.

Can’t really go wrong with these ubiquitous hibachi style restaurants in shopping malls, some are named differently but we always call them ‘Sarkus’. Love the slight char on the chicken and the sweet sauce that they use, we’ve been steering away from the extra ladle of sauce that they offer to pour over the rice for free but that’s an option if you want it. Being near the gulf, the quality of their shrimp is really good. The portions are also huge and prices are just right.

My food had a lot of flavor, the plate I ordered was a nice sized portion for the price that I paid. One of the cooks was super friendly and funny, he kept singing yummy yummy in my tummy. I like him keep him around

Came here on 02/20/26 and got 3 plates chicken teriyaki. Smelled AWFUL! Like rotten seafood and had a fishy taste. We couldnt even finish it we had to throw it away. We’ve always loved eating here but it was a huge disappointment this time

Would have given extra star on my review but due to the fact that they have extra charge for refills of soft drinks which is unheard of. I can understand if the drink is in a can.
This is only a fast food in a food court in a shopping mall. Even in a sit down restaurants offer free refills for beverages like coffee, sodas and ice teas. Staff servers are not friendly at all.

Every time I have come here, I always get the worst customer service from the asian lady with the long hair. She’s super lazy. Today, I was putting my change back into my purse and she was standing there, motioning with her hand for me to move the drink and tray of food I ordered down from the front of the line to the end where the cooks place the meat. She’s mute and can’t speak apparently because she’s never spoken, just stands there with her witch face. If I stood there and didn’t move the items, she probably would have waited until the line backed up. She needs to be fired! Also, in line I ordered the noodles and she kept pointing to the sign but didn’t speak, so I kept repeating “noodles” . She didn’t understand me and was given rice for both of my dishes.

Active listening is importance especially with language barriers. I ordered 2 chicken & shrimp, steamed rice & no vegetables, to only get 1 chicken & shrimp & 1 chicken. & I talk very clearly, & I repeated my order. So for all that & still get it wrong was frustrating. However, the food was still good & the cooks were fantastic. Please train your cashiers on active listening & repeat the orders back.
