PHX Wok (or Urban Wok) in the Phoenix Convention Center’s PHX Kitchens food hall serves basic Asian stir-fry dishes like beef broccoli and orange chicken. It’s generic fast-food style—overpriced, portions small, flavors bland and reheated. Service slow when crowded. If you’re tight on time for a convention event and can’t leave, it might suffice for a quick grab, but head outside for real downtown eats.

Came here during convention hours. The line moved pretty quickly considering how busy it was. If i had more time, I likely wouldn’t have come to eat here, but overall, I was satisfied. Got a free fortune cookie too

This is crap!! They take advantage that there are in a convention center, but they could do much better. Overprice and food quality non-existing.

Dishes are way too salty and sugary, eggroll is mushy, rice is dry, bad meal for $14.

Zero explanation on food items from crew, just an instruction to tap my card to pay. I ordered x2 fried rice, it’s supposed to be $4 each. Got charged $30 dollars and had to stand and wait for an offer of a partial refund which I refused. Then I got a full refund, which I have no proof of. Just a verbal promise that I was refunded $20. The foods bland and the service is bad. This is ridiculous.

I didn’t know it was possible to serve half the food, taste worse, AND be more expensive than Panda Express, but somehow Urban Wok pulls it off. Congratulations on being the worst fake Chinese food restaurant in Phoenix!

I was at a competition for two days at the Phoenix convention center 3/4 and 3/5 and I got two egg rolls. They weren’t that great but whatever.. Panda Express has wayyyyy better egg rolls. And the egg rolls at Urban Wok are $3 a piece! Insane! Also, the lady charged me twice, and I didn’t realize it until it was two late, and of course they don’t have a phone number to call and talk to someone about it. I love too far to just casually go back, and I am very very angry. Will NEVER go here again. If they hadn’t double charged me, maybe I would go back but no. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM BE CAREFUL!

Definitely the kind of place that only survives because of the convention centers zero outside food policy. Cafeteria-grade food at best
