We dine in at El Rey’s at least 2 to 3 times a month. I am HOOKED on the Cajun Ramen! This is a hearty bowl with a little bit of sausage, potatoes, corn, hard boiled egg and crab legs and shrimp in a lightly spicy broth with ramen noodles and let me say you can’t get anything like this anywhere that I have eaten in San Antonio or Austin ~Delicious and add 1 or 2 of the best tasting margaritas on the rocks as a pairing of a fine meal. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The jalapeño tilapia dish is my second fave! My husband loves the alligator bites and with the fried seafood plate ( catfish, oysters, shrimp, hush puppies and crinkle cut fries ). Service is 5stars and these ladies always get the orders accurate and check in on you frequently there is not a dry glass In the house. Everything about this place is a must try forsure and you will not be disappointed.

Decided to try this place out for a late Valentine’s date. The staff was quick to greet, and seat us, and very friendly. The food took a while to come out, despite ordering for our appetizer at the very start. Our cocktails were okay, nothing extravagant, but stil good.
However, my fried catfish, while looking absolutely delicious, had no flavor, very bland.
On top of it all, my wife ended up with food poisoning the next day, y’all need to throw out that crawfish etouffee. I only had a little bit of it, so I only got a bit of an upset stomach, but my poor wife ended up throwing up.
I don’t believe we’ll be returning anytime soon.

My husband and I were very happy on our first visit. We had the crawfish, snow crab, shrimp and gator bites. We washed it down with some Ice cold Miller Lite. .. We will be back. The mild seasoning on the boils was just spicy enough.

The worst part of my experience was trying to choose what I wanted to eat because everything seemed to be appetizing! They had a nice variety of options for anyone’s appetite. Dishes were priced reasonably, & you definitely got your money’s worth.
This was the first time I tried out the place, & they definitely made a GREAT 1st impression, gaining a regular customer.

Aside from the amazing wrestling they host by AWR! The Catfish nuggets were only a kids item. However, I’ll take two anytime! These nugs were so good. In the words of my daughter “ these are melty.” Literally they were just nice big super melty and soft clean catfish nuggets. And the crawfish was super fresh and good. Market price is pretty common. I’ll be back for sure. Hardest part was passing all the good bbq on the way there. And then when I got there the food was on point. So thank you for a great time EL REYS’s and AWR WRESTLING
