I returned (last Saturday) after 4 years from my original visit. I had the 3 meat plate, the pork and sausage was excellent, but I had to spit out the brisket (a first for me). The taste was off, like I was eating the waxed paper it was served on. Took another small bite and nope, never had such a taste of brisket (mostly the fatty portion) and left it

I had the susage and brisket with green beans and rice. I also had the pulled pork nachos and all was good. Really liked the green beans and susage and would also return for the brisket. Nachos were truly loaded

We have ordered their amazing tamales to take home an freeze for holidays or events. But this was the first time we dined in. We had the shrimp tacos, mushroom taco and a brisket taco with the sides of pinto beans and macaroni and cheese. They were nearly out of pinto beans(which the little serving container was nearly full still) but they said since it wasn’t a full order, they gave us the baked beans for free. The baked beans were some of the best I’d ever eaten!!! The food wasn’t very hot, I’m sure it was because they were nearly closing and they keep some of the sides in roasting appliances, which likely get turned off a bit before closing. Understandable. Anyway, these tacos are the kind you crave! I wanted more even two hours later, and the next day! We will absolutely be back!!!

I had the pulled meat over Mac and cheese. Delicious. Wife had soft tacos with side salad and Mac and cheese sides. The side salad alone would have made a reasonable meal. Recommended

This place is phenomenal! I passed by it for a year, never going in, as it’s a fairly nondescript place in a roadside strip mall. Big mistake. I now plan work and personal trips around their hours so i can stop in for lunch, dinner, or at least get some carryout. This place is better than the big name places in St. Louis or Kansas City. The meats are always tender, juicy, flavorful, and the sides – WOW! I’ve tried em all, they are all FANFREAKINTASTIC!!! Elsberry is truly blessed to have such a hidden gem. If you are a fan of bbq or tacos you have to try this place!
