First time here and I’m not really sure why this place has 4 stars, first time there and will definitely not be back. My husband got a steak which had more fat than anything, I got fish that was thin and crispy which tasted like it had been fried hours ago. The baked potatoes were pitiful with the fake bacon bits. We drove over a hour here to try it out only to be a complete waste.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Food was delicious, ordered the seafood comb plate,which included frog legs, fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, fried oysters, & catfish which was cooked perfectly. Their hushpuppies were also scrumptious. Definitely need to stop by and enjoy.

The staff was very friendly and the food is good and the prices are fair. Lost a star because it’s a waterfront restaurant without any water views. Kinda blows my mind how NONE of the indoor tables (or the bar) are places you can sit and watch the water go by. There’s a patio but it looks to be in disrepair and the door to the patio has a sign begging patrons not to open it.

Family get together. Their first time visiting. Friday night with reservations. Arrived to no table being set. 2 of us had no silverware until fish came. All the ketchup, tarter sauce and sauce for cole slaw were empty (total of 9). Had to wait for another table to leave to grab theirs. BIL ordered fish as well but waitress dropped a piece on the floor and never brought him another. I told cashier about experience and she apologized and said they were not expecting such crowds and were understaffed. Unfortunately, they said they would never return. Heather I hate that I missed you. I know you would want to know.

Fish had a mud cat taste, unable to eat it. Tartar sauce was plain mayonnaise, coleslaw dressing was awful, usually very good. Very disappointing. Unless it gets better, I don’t see it staying open much longer.

We had a party of 32! Had made reservations for 25! They made room for us. We had the best waitress! She was PERFECT!! 32 orders without a problem. Drinks stayed full. Food was perfect and came fast! This was our 3rd party there. We plan on having many more!!

Ask for nearly rare steak and for $30plus for a steak..one expects it to be right.nope. was well done. No I didn’t send it back. Didn’t want to wait an hour for replacement. 3rd time this has happened at westshore.

We ate tonight, October 3rd, 2020. The steak I had was very good and the fried catfish was also very good. The only issue for us was that none of the waitstaff nor register workers wore masks. None. Very few customers wore masks. I guess that Garland and West Shore is somehow immune to the virus. That’s especially good news for the older, and therefore more vulnerable, customers whom I saw eating tonight. You can choose to eat here or not. They don’t seem to take the coronavirus serious here.

Well I tried it again, and it again was even worse. Shrimp was tough, limp cold fish, and tasteless onion rings.
Everything was just like leftovers that you took home and decided to eat a few hours later. Awful I won’t go back.

**I WOULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS, FOR LAST NIGHT! Hush Puppies CAME OUT COLD AND GREASY, THE FRIED FISH WAS TOO! I HAD ONE PIECE OF FISH THAT HAD MEAT, THE OTHER TWO WERE GREASY HARD PIECES! The boiled shrimp was ok. The server even said she had been walking around and noticed our food was ready, so I guess that is why it was cold, yuck! Oh, also with tip it was over 62.00$ for (2) three-piece fish filets and half a pound of boiled shrimp. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK FOR A VERY LONG WHILE, IF EVER! SO DISAPPOINTED, USUALLY IT IS GOOD**
