Had the chopped brisket sandwich woth a side of baked beans. Sandwich had a good amount of sauce on it and the brisket was nice and moist. Beans were killer as well. 6 different additional sauces were available on the table as was a vinegar. We were also offered a free sample of the creamed corn and a chocolate brownie which were also very good. Service was quick and friendly. Staff seems well versed on the menu items. Will definitely be back

Hit up Mission BBQ in Arvada, and wow, these folks get it right. I went for the 3-meat plate (brisket, smoked sausage, and pulled pork), and every single bite was on point. Killer dry rub, perfect smoke, and just the right balance of flavor without needing to drown it in sauce.

Speaking of sauces they’re all legit, but that Smoky Mountain one? That’s the champ right there.

And the Mac n’ Cheese… man, that’s next-level comfort food. Probably the best I’ve had at any BBQ spot, and I’ve been to a lot across the Midwest and South. Creamy, cheesy, and flat-out awesome.

Bonus points for having Hawaiian Punch on tap didn’t see that coming, and I’m here for it.

But what really makes this place stand out is their heart. Mission BBQ backs our military and first responders in a real way, not just talk, they actually support and give back.

Bottom line: great food, great people, great mission.
I’ll 100% be back for more.

UPDATE to my original review:

Heard some murmurs floating around, folks at other restaurants grumbling that Mission BBQ doesn’t serve booze. Let’s clear that up right now.

Mission BBQ is exactly what it’s supposed to be: traditional, family-first barbecue. Down South, the majority BBQ joints don’t sell alcohol. Never have. You come for the food, the respect, and the company, not a bar tab.

The noise about “no booze” is just that, white noise from transplants who think everything needs a beer or a blunt to be enjoyable. Mission BBQ stays on mission. Keep it that way.

The moist brisket was amazing! All the sauces to try are a real treat. We didn’t get to try the sausage because they had just ran out, but it just means we get to go back to try it later.

I don’t know if it’s just working out some kinks but the dining room was freezing cold tonight.

This is a disappointing copoganda barbecue chain you should avoid. I expected a reasonable level of country heading into a barbecue joint but this location was full of police and military propaganda. The meat I ordered was DRY, tough, salty on the outside, and near flavorless on the inside; it was obvious my food was cooked hours ago and it was tough to eat. My brisket was dry, stringy, and cut the wrong way, the chicken was bland and the skin was rubber, and the ribs were tough, dry, and salty. The collards were bland, the cornbread was fine, the cobbler was entirely butter and sugar, and the beans and sauces were great. The staff were helpful if overeager to explain every single sauce to me.

We went for the first time today after hearing really good things about Mission BBQ. We were greeted with a smile and very warm welcome and full explanation of the menu by Dillon. Awesome!!! So nice to see someone that appreciates their customers. Very hard to find anymore.
The service in the dining room was very impressive. Quickly cleaning tables asking if you need anything. She was on it!
The food was delicious!!! We each had the pulled pork sandwich’s. They were huge! Had half of mine home.
The atmosphere was awesome. So cool to see someone of our friends memorialized on the wall.
Overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

The brisket was moist and delicious. The coleslaw was crispy and not too sweet and the cornbread was moist.
All of the employees that I talked to were friendly and smiling! It looked like they were enjoying their work.
The atmosphere was wonderful by the way they support the troops, law-enforcement, and firefighters. I would highly highly recommend this place because they hit all of the points that you’re looking for when you’re going out to eat. The owners/managers of this place should be very proud of this place! I feel like they must take good care of their employees because their work was impeccable!

The entire crew is so sweet and I didn’t get anybody else’s name, but everybody there is just so nice and you can tell that they enjoy their job! Thank you so much for a amazing experience and also delicious food to fuel my day ❤

What a great experience! I ordered the brisket, I wanted lean, but got moist, receipt did say lean, but that’s not what I got.
The amount of sauces to choose from is a nice touch to the experience. Regina was extremely helpful with explaining everything with her little spiel, which made it easy to understand. She definitely represents the restaurant well. Definitely will be back to get the turkey.
