We’ve been to this restaurant a few times. Food is usually very good and thw service is great. And the location downtown is also nice. Today we went for a late lunch and we ordered the fried snapper, the arroz chaufa, and the jalea de mariscos. The arroz chaufa was excellent. Big portion with lots of shrimp, beef and chicken and the flavor delicious. The fried snapper was also very good, though a bit expensive at $35. The jalea de mariscos we’ve ordered before, but today some of the seafood was very dry and tough, almost like it had been re-heated and it did not taste as fresh as in other ocassions. But I still give this restaurant 4 stars since all other times it has been a great experience.

A review from a Peruvian native pallete, I ordered the Ceviche de Pescado and the Chicken Causa (see pic). I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I left disappointed and the food did not sit well. As you can see from the ceviche picture, it looks like a soup dish which its not supposed to; the fish was fresh and a good portion, the onions where sliced correctly julienne style cut, their version of “leche de tigre” was nothing more than a watery mess with salt and too much pepper drowning the whole dish and not letting the sweet potato and choclo (corn) balance the little acidity of the plate. The sweet potato was not cooked right, not much taste and small for the fish portion. The corn was also drowning, no balance.
The chicken Causa left lot to be desired, I understand that “papa amarilla” is difficult to get in the U.S. but this was a crumbling mess, little chicken at the top combined with hard boiled eggs (usually the chicken comes inside the causa shredded nicely and not crushed into tiny pieces. The sauces had no taste, all you could taste was mostly the salt on the dish making it overall disappointing and insipid. I got the ceviche first, then my causa; it usually served causa first and then the ceviche. The atmosphere was ok, but the cleanliness and distribution of the tables can definitely improve. The letters on the window read Inka Ill, instead of Inka Grill (they have not been open long).
Personally, I was warned from other peruvians so I waited a while to come try it thinking they had challenges when they first opened, they have not improved.
I leave this review in hopes that the restaurant can improve the quality of the food in order to properly represent Peruvian food. I hope they take this feedback to improve and not call or respond negatively like they have in the past to other reviews from native people.

I have never had Peruvian food before so admittedly I can’t compare. I was very pleasantly surprised. The place is unpretentious but the food was incredibly fresh and delicious, the ceviche is to try. The portions are huge, food came pretty quickly, and prices are more than reasonable. The staff were young and very friendly. Give them a try, you won’t regret it.

I was looking for an authentic Peruvian food and I’ve found it. The staff is friendly and the location is great. It’s perfect for me for closing celebration with my clients. Affordable . The restaurant is located in downtown Raleigh. 100% recommend ☺️

Saw the sign for lunch specials. Decided to pop in after court since it’s right at the corner. Place has been opened only 3 months from what the worker stated. We were greeted as we arrived. Asked if we wanted to look at the menu and were given waters. I asked which beers were on tap since I could see some new handles to me. I was told they were not serving beer yet. Possibly a permit issue. It’s fine, I can understand especially since you just opened.

This was my first time here and I did enjoy it. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was nice and open. The service was good as well. The only downside was that the steak is of slight low quality as it is very chewy and fatty.

Overall, food delicious. The flavors were spot on, I got the ceviche mixto. Portion was wonderful no too small. Also, I got the tostones. Ooh and that spicy green sauce was a delight. I will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.

Food was amazing. Well seasoned and flavorful. Location itself could use a little upgrade. Kind of dark and dingy but like I said the food was definitely worth pulling up a chair. Biggest complaint was the server. Bad day or just didn’t want to be there? I don’t know but appeared as if he could care less what we liked. Can I get a straw with that please.

The food was very delicious, really Peruvian authentic. Ceviche was amazing and the chica morada as well. My first time going and I would say it was very delicious, I know they only have few days open and theirs a bit of fixing to do but the service wasn’t the best and I get it because theirs only one person taking orders and he does the charge. But he was very nice. Just want to let people know, that don’t expect to much when they just open.
But over all food was amazing. I would definitely be going back, I love the tres leche dessert. It was soooooo Good. Must try.
