Review: Cultura Sabor Latino Deli – Excellent Food, But Service and Price Raise Concerns
A recent visit to what is reportedly Cultura Sabor Latino Deli in Baldwin, NY, left a customer with mixed feelings. While the food itself received high praise for its excellent taste, aspects of customer service and pricing were noted as areas for improvement.
According to the diner, the establishment was not busy at the time of their visit. However, the interaction with an employee, identified as “Mersi,” was described as lacking basic customer service pleasantries such as a greeting, “good morning,” or a smile.
The highlight of the experience was undoubtedly the food. An order consisting of a small portion of rice and beans with a little meat stew was described as “excellent” and having “great taste.”
Despite the quality of the meal, the price was a significant concern. The total of $12 for the described modest serving was deemed “too high” by the customer.
Interestingly, despite the shortcomings in service and the perceived high cost, the deliciousness of the food appears to have made a lasting positive impression, as the reviewer stated, “I’ll come back.”

A really great hole in the wall family owned restaurant & mini-market with amazing hot food. First time there, had flanked steak with yellow rice, refried beans & salad. O.M.G., outrageously delicious!!! Everything tasted so fresh. I went back a week later to get soup & it was vegetables with beef & they nailed it!
Who knew?! Our family is loving their food.
FYI, very ordinary exterior & interior but the owners & food are worth the try & then some.
