Food was very good, been there a couple times. Chicken, brisket, pulled pork all great BBQ. Really good sides too; so far the baked beans, mac n cheese, collard greens, sweet potatoe fries and the candied bacon are all incredible.

Small but kinda big problem, only sauces made available are sweet and spicy, I need The Burning Oak to provide a traditional BBQ sauce! Other than that great BBQ.

We’ve been here twice, the first time we dined in and the second time we had take-out. I am a BBQ junkie, so when I happened to pass by this place we had to check it out!

On our first visit we went for lunch. If you are into ambiance this is not the restaurant for you, but the dining room is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I ordered the Brisket sandwich and she had the pulled pork platter w/ sweet potato fries. My sandwich was great, the meat was well seasoned tender, juicy with just the right amount of smokiness. She enjoyed her pulled pork but wasn’t wild about the fries, and was a little disappointed in the proportions for the $10 price (I understand this issue has since been remedied).

On our second visit we came late in the day, and ordered 2 brisket sandwiches to go. Although the meat was tasty it was really dry, not tough, but definitely DRY! My guess is that the meat sat for most of the day, which is why all the moisture was gone by the time it got to us.

We will probably visit there again. But if you’re going to go to this restaurant I recommend going earlier in the day.

Great food, but not well known yet. Nice indoor seating and great staff. I went on a weekday around 3 pm and service was great but it did take about 10 minutes to get my pulled pork sandwich delivered to my table. I hope they increase sales because the food is great.
Update: I have been there 2 more times since the first review. While the food remains good, the management and staff are getting worse. On my last visit I walked in and saw one customer eating, three employees eating and talking, and the cashier was on the phone, looked at me and walked away while still talking on the phone. After about 3 minutes of being ignored I left and went to another restaurant… I will not be back!

Today was my first time going to The Burning Oak with my family and I was thoroughly satisfied. The food was incredible, the St. Louis ribs fell right off the bone and normally I dislike spare ribs, but these were prepared so well I couldn’t help but to eat a whole rack. The side dishes were extravagant. The cornbread was very sweet and generally the best I’ve had, the greens were rich and tangy, and the french fries were amazing with a slight crunch and perfectly seasoned! I cannot wait to go back. The service was commendable as well, as everyone working there made the experience very customer friendly and created a nice environment to the southern-style restaurant. Overall, I loved it and will be returning many times.

The food was awesome. They only serve beef ribs on Thursday and it is worth the wait. The cashiers are very friendly and you can tell that they put time and effort in to their customer service. I will definitely recommend. Also the brisket stuff potato is pretty good too. I will order that if its not Thursday.

My husband Paul and I tried this BBQ for the first time today and we are Sooo HAPPY we did.. I honestly have to say it is the BEST BBQ I’ve ever eaten. I had the rib and brisket combo plate. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the brisket was so moist and flavorful. Sweet potato fries were so hot and crisp and collard were sensational. Paul had the brisket and pulled pork with Mac and cheese and collard greens. He enjoyed his as much as I did. As good as the food was the cooks and manager were just as Delicious!! Everyone was super friendly and cheerful. The place was Very clean too. We will DEFINITELY be back….

My husband and I have been to The Burning Oak BBQ twice so far, and both times, the food was excellent. We have had the pulled pork, Texas smoked brisket, dry rubbed smoked St. Louis ribs, fried green tomatoes, mac & cheese, braised collard greens, french fries, sweet potato fries, and corn on the cob. Everything is good here. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We met Deena, the manager, today. She was very friendly. This is definitely our go to bbq restaurant!

This BBQ place was awesome. Reminds me of Dallas barbecue. The brisket was phenomenal. The ribs and chicken were great as well, brisket is just my favorite. The baked beans, mac n cheese, collard greens, sweet potatoes fries, rocking shrimp, fried tomatoes everything was on point. The staff really cares about customer service. Deena is spectacular. She explained the menu to us and all, most places don’t do that. After we ate our food, Deena and the cook came out to ask us how the food was. The staff even came out and sang me happy birthday with a desert. Thanks again and see you guys soon.

My husband and I love barbecue and we try out a new place every weekend. I really liked this place. I got a chopped brisket sandwich and it was a bit on the dry side. However, when you added the sauce, it moistened back up to not being a problem. Definitely worth a try if you like barbecue. The sweet potato fries are heavenly, I just wish the hot barbecue sauce was spicier, it is very mild. A solid 4 stars in my mind.
