We had an interesting experience but the staff went above and beyond to make it right. The minestrone soup was delicious and the table drooled over the Korean bbq cauliflower wings. The Brussels sprout salad was different and fresh, the table devoured it. We were so excited over the gluten free pasta but unfortunately they were not edible.. the pasta was crunchy. The sauce on the pastas were delicious, I wish I would have gotten the sauce to go. The kitchen tried again to cook the pasta more but said it couldn’t be done. The manager was great and treated us very well in what was a difficult situation for him to be in – your chefs v. Your guests. Hopefully they find a better pasta to serve because those dishes looked so good. Great service by Kennedi, great attention from the manager, unfortunately the kitchen fell flat. Hopefully we can try again soon!

In my opinion, Taverne on Woodlake punches above its 4.1 rating (as of March 2nd).

Their Taverne Old Fashioned is a subtle twist on the classic, swapping out simple syrup in favor of blackberry syrup.

We were told people travel from afar to try the Korean Cauliflower wings — and I can vouch that they’re 100% worth it.

My wife and I split the Everything Salad. Added the crispy chicken. Also delicious.

All around great experience!

Everything was great. Drinks were tasty. The pork chop was absolutely delicious. Soup of the day, red pepper and tomato, was delicious. Ribs were very good. Service was fabulous. We ate at the bar and Nathan took great care of us. Will visit again if ever back in the area.

Our server Eddie went above and beyond to make sure our experience was memorable. The sausage soup and Buddha bowl my mom and I enjoyed at lunch were outstanding, and Eddie recommended some naan bread that was fire roasted and like nothing I’ve ever tried before.

We’re definitely coming back, bringing more family and asking for Eddie every time

What a gorgeous place! The service was exceptional and friendly. I had a gluten free pizza because I was sharing and while it ran a bit sweet for my taste, my GF friend said it was great. The dessert was a tiny, flavor packed jar of pure heaven. It was called a chocolate budino and it was amazing!! That alone was worth the drive. It was too small to stick my head in and lick out but I would have.

We visited the tavern on Woodlake on December 5th. Our waitress, Bree, was spectacular. She gave us recommendations and was incredibly warm and friendly and efficient, her service was definitely five star. She recommended the walleye with brown sugar hollandaise, which was truly delicious. Looking for a healthy option for myself I chose the Buddha bowl with salmon. That was really a disappointment. The flavor was nothing exciting and what really disappointed me was that we paid $11 for the Salmon which, I wish I had taken a picture, could not have been more than 3 ounces. I would have expected six or 7 ounces of protein.

The cocktails were great and we will definitely be back, but I am unlikely to ever order protein for a salad!

We had the pleasure of being served by Bree at Taverne on Woodlake. When ordering my burger, I jokingly asked for all the sauces and sure enough, she brought one of each out with my meal. She was so sweet, kind, and joked around with us! She really is wonderful at her job! She made our experience so fun and enjoyable! Thank you, Bree!

Very beautiful ambience. We were seated right next to the window & could see the lake. Hostess & waitress were both very nice & professional. Food came out fast & hot & was very flavorful. I ordered the steak & eggs & my mom had the special which was trout with Korean cauliflower. We also ordered mini donuts to start that came with a salted chocolate sauce. They were so good! I definitely recommend this restaurant for a fancy meal and/or date night.

The staff were outstanding, the food not so much. The breading on the fish was very overdone and the fish itself wasn’t cooked through. It was our first time there and unfortunately probably our last. I couldn’t get over the cold air blowing right on us which made the food, which was served pipping hot, cold very quickly.

I got the fish and chips. The chips tasted better than the fish. The fish was kinda bland, and if you dip it in the tartar sauce, you can’t taste the fish at all. The pints are fair priced. Service is a tad slow, but very courteous.
