Wonderful meal and service once again. I have never had a bad experience at Steel City Steakhouse. We have all of our family birthday dinners here. Excellent steak dinners with filling sides. I ordered the 10 oz. flat iron steak with mushrooms and onions. It comes with two sides. The baked potato was huge and very filling. We also ordered a shrimp cocktail and it tasted incredibly fresh. Service was fast and friendly. It never seems to be crowded here. You can use an “Enjoy” card here for an incredibly reasonable meal! Will definitely be returning!

Came here looking for a steakhouse experience. Found a run down dining room attached to a bar. Food was overpriced for what it was. Ordered two steaks medium well, temperatures were inconsistent. Very difficult to enjoy anything over the sound of karaoke next door. The wait staff was friendly, at least. I won’t be coming back.

Service was good, appetizers were great, so we seemed to be of to a good start. But the steaks were poorly seasoned, and seemed as though they’d never seen any direct heat (no sear/crust, which suggested that they’d been prepared sous vide – which is perfectly fine – but badly finished).

Do not plan to return.

Service by Jen was too notch. You could tell she has been taking care great care of her Customers for years I’m sure. Food was ah-mazing. My girlfriend and I both got ribs, she also had the BBQ chicken and I had an 8oz sirloin. All meats were delectable. I will say the sauce left a tad to be desired. We will return no doubt.

My Philly Cheese Steak sandwich was exactly as I had ordered it. The fries are very good, not plain. I was definitely full after finishing the meal. My buddy got the “smaller” fish sandwich and it was a pretty good sized fillet. I would go back there. I recommended this place.

No place is perfect. So no 5 stars. Non smoking now. Still ok even though I am a smoker. Laid back local crowd. Great wing special Tuesday night. Owner is decent human. Doesnt put up with shenanigans. Bar staff is (she knows who she is) great on Tuesday. I have been coming here for 7 years. Kinda regular avg once or twice per month. My family and I have been pleased with steak dinners over the years. They seem to be ready to take their skills to they next level. Gets better every time I have dinner. Enjoy yourself. Tell them Ernie sent you.

My wife and I went for our anniversary and we were not impressed at all. Web both had the prime rib dinner and ended up sending both back to be cooked further. My steak was ice cold when it was brought to the table and I asked for it to be medium well.my wife asked for well done and ended up with medium rare and if you like desert they had only three items to choose from. Web wont be going back

I’m not sure what the naysayers want? I had an early dinner here yestesterday and after reading some of the reviews, was apprehensive about what I would find.
Let’s start with a negative comment like some of the erstwhile reviewers: the draft beer I was hoping for was not available that day but the Boston Lager was cold and refreshing. Let’s see what else I didn’t like… the wine list was pedestrian at best, but I wasn’t considering having any at the time.
The staff was attentive and informative, the rack of ribs… AAAHHH – THE RIBS were the best I have ever eaten at a Restaurant (hard to beat home grilled). Literally (and I used that word correctly) was meat falling off the bone, the sauce was not too piquant and just the right cohesiveness to the rack and the the portions were larger than I and my dining companion expected. Although the bill was slightly more than what I anticipated spending – especially after the generous tip – it was well worth it. I certainly will return and try the steaks (as did the others who were dining there at the time).

The steak wasn’t very good. Another patron warned me that the delmonico he had wasn’t very good, so I ordered the strip, which also was not good. Lots of fat, which I am usually fine with, but not a lot of flavor. It was cooked as ordered, but wasn’t very appetizing visually or otherwise. I’ve had everything from Save A Lot steaks to grass fed filet, and I can say this was on the lower end of the meat quality spectrum. Some veggies on the side were okay. The bar is crowded because of limited space and on a night with a live band it is even worse. The band gets jammed into a corner and people trip over their equipment. Not great for patrons, business owner, or poor starving musicians!

We are huge steak people and when we moved to the area I was excited to have a local house a mile or so away. I went big and did the steak challenge. It was supposed to be a 3 lb steak, and it wasn’t. I’ve got 3lb cuts for home, so I knew. The place was somewhat stuffy, and they didn’t even have the challenge rewards as said. So they promised to mail me it and it’s been years and it’s never come, and we have never returned. I want to give them another chance but after a $50 steak and a even larger total bill that time, we stayed away.
