We especially like that this restaurant is a BYOB with no corkage fee. Our server this evening was Suraj who took excellent care of us. They always start you off with Papadum (light crispy Indian wafers) and two dipping sauces – so good. You can request the heat of your dish – we all chose mild. We enjoyed the following dishes: two orders of Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Shrimp, and Asparagus Mushroom Korma. All served with Basmati rice. The portions are so generous, we had some to take home for another meal. We shared an order of Cheese Naan bread – very different and yummy.
The owner, Raju, came out to talk with us – such a lovely man – so proud of his restaurant as he should be. We complimented him on creating such a lovely atmosphere and serving delicious food. He sent out some desserts for us to try: Gulab Jamun, Soan Papdi, and Kulfi Mango Ice Cream. It was a delicious way to end our evening. Thank you so much.
Turns out both of us try to eat veggie, so we passed on the menu and enjoyed a number of dishes on the buffet. Every dish we tried was fresh and tasty. Not too spicy–typical for buffets.
The interior was bright and airy. Staff made sure our water glasses were filled but otherwise left us alone.
I’ll be returning to try the momo.
Now.. the portions are VERY generous! The garlic naan came with 2 huge slices.. very flavorful and soft.. my toddler ate almost a whole one
The salmon tikka was nothing short of AMAZING! The size of the salmon cubes, the flavor of the sauce…the freshness and softness of the rice.. I couldn’t ask for a better dish for dinner.
My son and I were able to split everything evenly and were both pretty full and satisfied.
Who would have thought, I simply can’t eat on the left side of my mouth…so I’m limited to soft foods.. that I would stumble across Indian Ocean. I definitely plan to visit their restaurant and try other dishes.
The food is very good too, one critique would be to have more flavor to it (specifically to our entrees). I feel they need more of a kick. Now, for the spice level, they’re good. I just believe they can do it a bit more with salt, and I suppose any other savory additives. The herbal flavor’s great though, so don’t change that.
This shouldn’t be mistaken as bland, however!
It also isn’t a big issue because their dish proportions are big, and they don’t hold back on the meat. Also, their sauces aren’t bad too. As said, it just needs a bit more flavor.
I would definitely come back!
Also, we ordered the goan shrimp, lamb boti with keem, momo, mango chutney and garlic naan
