Great experience with superior service. Nothing short of perfection. We had the bourbon maple bacon for appetizers. Could easily be an entire meal. We also had a Half dozen oysters and fried calamari. The delmonico was slightly charred and above from the desired temperature of medium but together with the blue cheese was delightful. We also had the tuna tataki, lobster Mac and cheese, and the chocolate soufflé. It was my wife’s birthday and the place made it super special. Our server, Jorge, was a true professional and very attentive.

During a much-needed self-care weekend, I decided to treat myself to this establishment—and it did not disappoint. Parking is convenient, with both valet and self-parking available, and the restaurant validates parking, which was a nice touch.
I made a reservation in advance, which I highly recommend. The level of personalized service was exceptional from start to finish. This was my first visit, and I truly enjoyed the entire experience.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of my steak (which tells you how good it was), but I did manage to snap photos of my water—still untouched—and my Caesar salad, which was absolutely amazing. My server, David M., was incredibly attentive and detail-oriented, making sure everything was perfect. The food arrived promptly and exceeded my expectations.
I ordered the ribeye, Caesar salad, and baked potato. The portions were generous, and I couldn’t finish everything, so I brought the rest back to my hotel. A few hours later, I reheated the steak—and wow. The aroma filled the room, and the steak was still tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I honestly couldn’t stop eating it.
I will definitely be returning and would recommend this place to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience. Easily the best steakhouse I’ve had in the DC area so far.

This is my third time at 801 Chophouse Tyson’s Corner, but we wanted to take my Mom there while she was here visiting for the Christmas holiday. As always, EXCEPTIONAL service, delicious food prepared to PERFECTION, and the service was SPECTACULAR!! Our server Robby was excellent and a special shout out to Sous Chef Aleta who came out to chat with us, Pastry Chef Daniel and General Manager Boris who made sure that we were well taken care of. I cannot lift up this restaurant, their staff and the kitchen team enough. The entire experience is top tier – love this place!!

While the location is nice and atmosphere- it’s mid. The oysters are smothered in whole pieces of spinach and cream. For main ordered the half chicken… it was Dry! They keep putting the plates back in oven for appearances but it was so off putting- Lobster Mac and cheese had 2 and a half pieces of lobster. Garlic mashed potatoes were dried out. our server disappeared mid dinner. Waited an extra 20 mins just for the check.

This was our first visit to 801 Chophouse, and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the experience — the service is excellent, the atmosphere is tastefully done for an upscale steakhouse, the wine list is nicely organized and has an impressive range (what it lacks in sheer numbers it makes up with in quality and diversity), and the menu — although certainly very “steak focused” — had sufficient fish options to keep this pescatarian happy. My selected dish was tuna, which was perfectly prepared and plated, and was simply delicious.
But the steak is what 801 Chophouse is really all about — and, for that, I defer to my 21yo steak aficionado, who said that his 12oz filet was probably the single best steak he’s ever had. Thus, 801 Chophouse has unseated Capital Grille, Ruth’s Chris, AND Fleming’s to take the highly competitive #1 spot on his list of favorite steakhouses.
We will certainly be back.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was thoroughly impressed. The complimentary valet parking was a huge plus, and the friendly staff went above and beyond to make my experience even better. They opened my car door and the restaurant doors for me, which was incredibly helpful. This restaurant is truly amazing, and I’m already planning my next visit. If you’re looking for a fantastic dining experience, I highly recommend this place. Don’t forget to ask for Rachel E.; she’s an absolute gem! Thanks a million, Rachel! ☺️

I had a fantastic experience here. I explained that I was recovering from the effects of Radiation and Chemo treatment, for throat cancer and it was difficult to swallow. I decided to celebrate my recovery and have Prime Rib, fearing it may be difficult to eat and swallow. All the staff were so nice to me, and went way and beyond, in making this meal really special. They recommended more easy to swallow foods, added extra au jus etc.
The Prime Rib was amazing, it was so tender and flavorful. I only ate one quarter of it, and had small portions at home, over the next few days.
The Prime Rib was the “Piece de Resistance” of the meal but the “icing on the cake” (so to speak), was the dessert of Raspberry Pavlova.
When it arrived, the chef had written “Congratulations” in chocolate/caramel on the rim! I was incredibly humbled by this beautiful gesture to celebrate my recovery from cancer. This is the true meaning of going above and beyond.
I will always remember and cherish this action.
To finish, this Steakhouse has absolutely delicious food, ambience and world class customer service.

Went for a birthday and really enjoyed a great steak dinner. This place is exactly what you want in a chophouse. Reminded me of old school chophouses in Chicago. The cuts of meat are excellent. The selection is very impressive. Definitely heading back. Only issue was we booked it as a birthday dinner, they did keep wishing my wife a happy birthday but forgot her dessert and candle. Small issue but it is the details that make the difference between this place and another.
