In short: quality sushi and dishes with attentive and accommodating servers.

We were visiting from Hawaii and attempted to go to another sushi place prior but the atmosphere wasn’t what we wanted so called Kuwada 10 minutes away. They told us they could take us so we showed up and were given a side table. We asked instead if we could do a round table and they moved us there. I asked if they could do a hirame usuzukuri but info could not (it wasn’t on the menu to begin with so no biggie). Ordered the shishito peppers, spicy tuna crispy rice, robata pork belly, hamachi, maguro, and uni sushi. The freshness of the fish and uni was incredible, and the other dishes were all delicious. Oysters were sold out, and the uni was Santa Barbara even though the menu said Japan (we prefer SB uni anyway so we lucked out).

The servers came around quite frequently to keep our smaller table clear of dishes. We also felt the music was a bit too loud for conversation so asked the server if it could be turned down just a tad — which he did. Really impressed by the food and accommodating service. Would definitely go back again.

Did $160 EACH PERSON for the Valentine’s Day menu. Absolutely the worst waste of money I’ve ever spent. For the price of a round trip ticket to a destination resort, you also can have tiny bites of sushi that weren’t explained, two tiny skewers of Wagyu overcooked, boiled Cod that was too gross to finish, and one velvet cake to share lol. Yes ONE slice of cake. I seriously thought I was in a prank. Literally the only decent part was our server.

I love everything about this place! It’s a romantic evening out with an amazing chef and a devoted staff! The fish is top tier and worthy of the most expensive dinners in LA.

For us, it’s the personable staff, relationship with the chef, and the unique menu that keep us coming back week after week.

Expect an elegant sushi experience. I prefer the weeknights over the weekends.

I took my husband here for dinner for his birthday. It was a Sunday night and I made reservations, but I didn’t need to because it wasn’t too busy. We sat at the cutest table. When we walked in there is a huge cherry blossom tree and our table was in front of the cherry tree. So we had the perfect background.

We ordered the crispy rice and edamame for an appetizer and it was so delicious! We will come back for the crispy rice over and over again! We each ordered a roll and it was amazing!!

Service was excellent and the restaurant atmosphere was perfect. A 10/10 for sure. We will be back and we will recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Hands down one of the best sushi places I have been. This place is a hidden gem in the most unexpected of places for the quality of food and service. With knowledgeable staff, an excellent menu, and a variety of masterfully crafted cocktails, I do not know how anyone could be disappointed with this place. This is not your all you can eat bs that lack quality. I would expect to find this place in Hollywood, New york, or Miami amongst the best chefs in the industry. Michelin star quality and expertise hidden in Rancho Cucamonga and at a good price for now. If you build your own full 3 or 4 course meal with coctails, expect around $60-80 pp depending on cocktails and menu items taken. They do have budget friendly options. Don’t think about it just go. It’s worth every penny.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kuwada Sushi, and it was an unforgettable experience. We opted for the Omakase menu, a curated selection of the chef’s finest dishes, and were blown away by the quality and creativity of each course.
The cocktails were a delightful prelude to the meal, expertly crafted and perfectly balanced. However, it was the main courses that truly stole the show. The Waygu beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender and seasoned to perfection, while the octopus was tender and freah that was simply divine.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was incredibly romantic, with soft lighting and a serene ambiance. The service was impeccable, with our server attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, Kuwada Sushi is a must-visit for anyone seeking a truly exceptional dining experience.

Reservations are good to do if you don’t want to wait a long time. There’s 6 of us and to my surprise this is not a fly by night sushi restaurant. I wasn’t expecting it to be as nice as it was. The bathroom was immaculate and very clean! The music was a good choice for the atmosphere. Joni is our server and she is very patient, knowledgeable, friendly and kind. My experience with this 5 star restaurant is that the food is very fresh and tasty.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
Make It a must on your list of restaurants to visit.
