I had an incredible dining experience here from start to finish. The main courses were rich, authentic, and perfectly seasoned—truly a 5/5 meal. Make sure you don’t skip the dessert menu, as everything we tried was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for high-quality Indian cuisine!

Excellent Indian lunch / dinner stop! Everything we ate was lip smacking. The mini dosas were incredible! And so was the chaat (ask for a veggie version if you can’t eat caviar) and the breads with the mains were awesome too.

Incredible food. we can’t stop thinking about the garlic naan, lentil dal, dosa and lamb korma. The tandoori sea bass was also very tasty.

This place opened about a year ago and is a great addition to the town of Woodstock. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service was excellent. We got the butter chicken, tadka paneer, garlic naan and the yellow lentils. Everything was good but mild in flavor, so if you are used to more intense Indian food, I would suggest getting something a little spicier. I normally don’t love paneer dishes but this one was the best one I’ve ever had and the sauce was delicious. I got the saffron rose cocktail and it was also great. Definitely recommend!

I went here for a friends birthday and it was a brilliant experience. The food was great, good recommendations. I tried the madras and it was delicious. The best Indian food I’ve had in Oxfordshire. The people at da’ba know how to make you feel welcome. Sahed made our Group feel comfortable and welcome, gave flawless service, his presence gave our evening a personal touch. Will be recommending this place to other people.

What a gem!
My husband and I found this place while on retreat in the mountains and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to have lunch! Not only is this restaurant beautiful- really, from the color palette, to the plateware and flatware – but the food was excellent. Don’t skip the coffee either!
The service was just as inviting and sincere.
We have a few more days in the area and are planning to come back!

I recently dined at Nirvana Indian Cuisine in Woodstock, and it was an absolute delight. The ambiance was inviting, with a beautifully designed space that set the tone for a wonderful meal. The service was impeccable, ensuring our dining experience was excellent from start to finish.

Now, onto the food – it was simply wonderful! We started with freshly made roti served warm with two delicious sauces. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, bursting with flavor. The lamb korma was tender, creamy and perfectly spiced. And the roasted eggplant was cooked to perfection. Don’t forget the creamy and freshly made Mango Lassi!

If you’re in Woodstock and craving delicious Indian cuisine, I highly recommend paying Nirvana a visit. You won’t be disappointed!

The panier kafta I would strongly recommend. The shrimp chili appetizer was a mix, the sauce and veggies great the shrimp was in the freezer to long it didn’t taste fresh. The chicken vandaloo was well made but there was a flavor to me it tasted like lime that was overpowering. The service was attentive but a bit pushy on up selling the portions were sufficient to share, the rice was very good.

My wife and I were very excited to come to Nirvana, as we used to be customers of the previous restaurant that was there.
We love Indian food and have been to so many restaurants, not only in NYC but also in many other cities.

While we loved the renovation and new decor, and the service was professional and friendly, I have never felt so insulted by what was served to me as I was at Nirvana.

I am a big fan of Aloo Gobi, and that’s what I order 9 out of 10 times whenever I go to any given Indian restaurant.
I am not making this up nor is this an exaggeration: I received 3 TINY cauliflower florets and ONE fingerling potato over a small bed of spinach saag. At first I thought they were 2 small potatoes, but it was one fingerling potato cut in half.
Not to mention this was very different from any authentic Aloo Gobi’s I’ve had before.
They also gave one small portion of rice for both mine and my wife’s entrees, and the amount of rice was not even enough for just one of us.

As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for many years in NYC, this is one of the biggest mistakes you can make as a restaurant owner and/or manager.
People will not come back and you’ll build a bad reputation.

This is a place we would be going to at least twice a month, but we’ll never go back unless we see some proof of improvement.
This is a great addition to the Woodstock restaurant scene, but you’re doing it wrong.

Nirvana truly lives up to its name—this place is a slice of culinary heaven! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the modern, stylish interior and the spotless, welcoming vibe. It’s a perfect blend of contemporary elegance with the comforting warmth you’d hope for in an Indian restaurant.

We started with four mini-masala dosas, and honestly, we could’ve eaten four more. Each one was crisped to perfection, and the accompanying chutneys and sambar were bursting with flavor—fresh, tangy, spicy, and downright addictive.

For our main dishes, we had the saag and matar paneer. Both were absolutely phenomenal. The saag was rich and perfectly seasoned, and the matar paneer had that creamy, comforting texture that only a well-balanced curry can deliver. Every bite felt thoughtfully crafted.

One small heads-up for future diners: the portions are on the smaller side, so if you’re extra hungry, you might want to order a bit more. That said, the quality more than makes up for it.

Nirvana is a gem—modern, clean, and full of authentic flavor. We’ll definitely be back!
