More comfortable but the comfort feeling left me shortly with the upcoming events. My food was put together and packed up and I went to the register to pay and showed my electronic $25 gift card. With her food protection gloves still on, she rang up my order and attempted to apply the gift card which she couldn’t as she didn’t know how to. She asked to see my phone and I handed it to her so she could read the gift card serial numbers and tried again to apply the gift card and still no success, she then proceeded to call her boss for assistance all while still wearing the gloves that she prepared my food with. There was no answer from the boss so she used her cell phone to text her boss so now she has handled 2 cell phones and the business phone all while wearing the gloves she prepared my food with, I’ll explain soon why this is disturbing. Finally, her boss called her and explained how to process the electronic gift card. My total for the food i ordered was $26.03. Once again, with gloves on, she rang up my order on the register computer and I handed her $1.03 in cash/coins which she put into the register with the gloves on. At this point, she bagged up my food and gave it to me. Another customer was there waiting to be served and I wanted to see if she would put new gloves on so I slowly grabbed some napkins and watched as she greeted the other customer and started to prepare his food and never changed the gloves that she had on that she prepared my food with and touched my cell phone, her cell phone, the business phone and cash with. Completely disturbed and disgusted, I walked out and put the entire bag of food in the garage can outside of the store. A waste of $26.03 but not worth risking my health. I previously owned a bar that served food in New York City and currently hold a food protection certificate issued by the NYC Health Department and I can assure you that what she did was a health risk and a health department violation. My suggestion is that if you visit this location, ask that the food preparer put on a fresh pair of gloves because this was unacceptable. Asking for a refund was not even a fleeting thought given how much time it took her to figure out how to process the gift card. I do not recommend this Moes location.
