Went to La Loma to celebrate my son’s birthday and it was an incredible experience. The food is full of flavors. The chips and tortillas are so fresh. Will definitely be back here again. We ordered the chile rellenos appetizer which was so tasty and it came with a side of green chile for dipping, carne guisada, enchiladas, chicken tortilla soup and as a dessert the fried ice cream. My kids ate ALL their food and I didn’t hear one complaint from them!

Whether it’s a date night or a holiday celebration, when my family visits Colorado, La Loma is always at the top of my list!
For this visit, we switched it up and tried dishes we’d never had on their menu. As a starter, you absolutely cannot go wrong with the Chicken Nachos! As a true nacho fan, this is the way I want to eat nachos from now on! They layer six large corn tortillas with cheese, refried beans, and chicken, then top them with guacamole, sour cream, and jalapeño peppers. I loved that each bite had all the toppings—no leftover chips, just over-the-top flavor.
Then we ordered specialties and an entrée from the grill…
The Texas Platter features a New York Strip Steak topped with grilled onions and serranos. This mouthwatering combination really lets the meat and vegetables shine—paired with irresistible sides, black beans, and their classic green chili smothered relleno.
Now let’s talk about the Tequila Shrimp, served in one of the best sauces I’ve had, with the heat from the tequila-jalapeño butter shining through, and just the right amount of acidity.
For cocktails, you can never go wrong with a Cadillac Margarita or Paloma – some of my favorite cocktails in Denver!

The bartender staff were incredibly welcoming when I stopped in on 12/7 for a late dinner. The woman working gave me great suggestions on food and drinks while the gentleman was attentive and ensured I had everything I needed.
The Paloma was superb and the brisket burrito was delicious and the green sauce was amazing. Great experience at the recommendation from the hotel and hope to come back on future trips to Denver.

We had a fantastic experience at La Loma McGregor Square. The atmosphere was great, but the food really stole the show—everything was incredibly flavorful. I ordered the Texas Platter, and it was outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly with a great char, and the combination with the chili relleno and green chili was delicious. It’s a hearty dish that hits all the right notes. Highly recommend.

Terrible experience. Can’t really comment about the food because it never arrived 45 minutes after ordering (it took 15 mins for them to take our order). So after an hour there, we had to leave without eating. This restaurant has a large space but not enough staff to handle the number of tables. It’s terribly mismanaged on many levels. I gave 2 stars for the food because the chips and salsa were decent. I would have given zero stars for service if I could. If you’re going downtown for a special occasion or an event it’s best not to waste time at this restaurant.

Definitely stop here if you visit Denver. Their green chile sauce is one of a kind! Our server Dev went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, especially since we were from out of town. The steak fajitas were awesome ,and the churros for dessert will have you wanting to go back!

Another Denver classic and favorite while I miss its original digs, it’s new place on McGregor square is pretty awesome. The green chili is phenomenal and I tried the fajitas this time and what a pleasure. Had the best time with some great friends. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful experience at La Loma during a business meeting yesterday.
Our server, Erick, was attentive and super friendly. He recommended the mini rellenos for the table, and they were to die for!
I also took his recommendation and ordered the tequila shrimp, and it was excellent.
Overall, solid food and even better service. We’ll definitely be back.

Be careful how you order your food here. The second time I came I ordered the bowl of grandmas green chili and they came out with the full plate including beans and rice. Yet my friend ordered the flautas and even clarified with the waiter that she indeed wanted the full order, and he brought her out the appetizer instead.
Maybe point to the menu when you order? Amazing food. I enjoyed everything we ate here and I really loved the feel of the restaurant.

The Margaritas were great. I ordered the chicken tacos and they were pretty dry. There wasn’t any sort of sauce on the chicken itself. I used the table salsa and that helped a lot!
