The Lake House is a short walk or drive from the Grant Village lodge buildings. The walk through the woods leads to a former marina, where the restaurant provides incredible views of the West Thumb of Yellowstone Lake. But the views are only part of the appeal. The food is pretty good too!

Park-based restaurant on the water with casual all-day dining including breakfast & global dishes.

If you want some amazing tacos and nachos while sitting with a million dollar few then come here. The barbacoa was some of the best I’ve had. The family had amazing dinner then walk the pie for sunset. And don’t forget to get a beer on tap they were both great.

Beautiful view, order and find a spot to eat, they deliver to the table. Loved the Tacos. Their home hot sauce was very good. I tried their Pica Amber local brew beer and it was good too. In the middle of no where, this is an oasis.

Okay people, this is the only place you can get tacos in Yellowstone. It’s located way south, south of West Thumb. It’s worth the drive if you’re tired of hamburgers and hot dogs. No reservations are needed.

You order by the taco. They told us they were the size of street tacos, but they actually bigger. We started with the Dip Trio which is chips with salsa, guac, and cheese dip. Then we ordered 2 Al Pastor tacos, 2 barbacoa tacos, and 3 chicken carnitas. We ordered extra tacos to take back to the RV for lunch the next day. It was all so good.

You get a nice view of the lake. Plenty of seating. Server was great (darn, I forgot his name). Now that the tacos have all been eaten, we’re craving more so we’ll make the drive out there one more time. Wish Yellowstone could place more taco restaurants somewhere or add them to the menu at the other villages. Give this place a try if you are okay driving south of Yellowstone.

We were staying at the hotel next door, and I brought nearly 45 of my guests (a tour group) to dine at their restaurant. The servers were all polite and provided good service. Normally, when we bring a group to dine, the manager will offer us a discount or complimentary tacos, and in return, I encourage my guests to leave a generous tip.

However, this time, the manager—a white older woman wearing a white shirt—was extremely rude and appeared visibly impatient. I politely asked if there were any discounts available for the driver, and she responded in a very unpleasant tone, saying there were none. I replied, “No problem, I’ll pay for it myself,” but instead of acknowledging this in a courteous way, she turned and walked away with a disrespectful attitude. Throughout the entire interaction, she did not smile once.

I don’t owe her anything—there was no reason to treat me in such a disrespectful manner. This felt like clear racial discrimination. In my opinion, she is not suitable for a position that requires customer service skills!!!

GREAT VIEWS, SERVICE, AND FOOD. In Grant Village there is basically nowhere else to sit down and have a meal other than this Lake House restaurant and I am glad. The quality of the service was wonderful with each server being extremely attentive and also being very accommodating with all spots. There is also vegetarian options which was great because after a long day of being in Yellowstone seeing all the animals some people don’t particularly want meat. The meat options were amazing however, my favorite being the Al pastor which was a little spicy but had a lot of flavor. The spicy pork was very tender and had a pinch to it, but thankfully the grilled pineapple put on top of the taco evened the spice out. We also got the dip trip which was BOMB the salsa , guac, and queso all taste really fresh, and they used tortilla chips instead of corn chips which is what I usually see in American restaurants. One of my 2 highlights from the meal was just the view of Yellowstone slake you get from eating next to the window especially at sunset JAW DROPPING! Also the churros that we ended off with were just amazing crispy on the outside soft and a little gooey on the inside with lots of sugar and cinnamon on top. There wasn’t too much cinnamon though which I appreciated. OVERALL the meal was quite affordable, delicious, and unique with the fantastic view which is why I would definitely recommend Grant Village Lake House Restaurant to others and I will come again during my next visit to Yellowstone!

Your only choice if you come late or did not make a reservation. The menu is small, and feels expensive with a small taco for $5. We had to get a couple of plates of chips to fill up! Try the churros, they are a delight. The food is all quite we made, it is just small portions and limited menu. The views are spectacular, go walk around the lake.

Great tacos here. Hard to know that’s what they sell though by only finding them in the park newspaper. It would also be nice if they had some local meats or fish for their tacos. Great view of Yellowstone Lake too.

Nice lake view restaurant which doesn’t need a restaurant. A very small menu, mostly tacos and some desert/drinks. The tacos tasted good, especially for a place inside the park. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table.

Really dissapointed overall. The place is terribly smelly, the food is not nice, we ordered tacos, they were super small, like a child size, $5 per taco. Took one bite and we couldn’t finish it. Never tried anything as bad. They brought the 4 tacos in 1 basket and did not bring us any plates. We left the place in total dissapointment and ended up eating porridge in our room. We will never come back again. The only thing that was nice was the view which we didn’t enjoy as we literally ran out of the place.
