We ordered the fried rice and the boil for takeout. The boil had shrimp, crawfish, corn, potatoes, and sausage. All of it was very good, the rice especially! You certainly get your money’s worth due to their generous portions. We were able to feed a family of 4 with this order and it was more than enough ! The food was very good and rich in flavor but the seafood boil was lacking in sauce .

I think they’re best for their fried fish and chicken, although I’ve never had their seafood bag to comment on it. The fried okra and fried flounder were very good. The fried rice could’ve been better, don’t think I will get it again.

My family and I were in town for a funeral and staying at a nearby hotel. As a pescetarian( over 5 yrs) I’m always looking for fish or seafood. They were cloae by and reviews were good. The food was hot thats the only plus. Thats the one . The atmosphere was ok. They were preparing to close, so were cleaning. I ordered the 3 pc flounder and my husband and bro in law the scallops. That was not fish(not natural) and those were not scallops. The texture of everything was off. Removing the light breading or batter , it look much like imitation crab meat or surimi. After driving for 6 hours and spending $50.00 we ended the night very disappointed! We tried. Now we know.

The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. We did have an issue ordering as the woman couldn’t understand English well. However she was very accommodating and tried hard to understand us. There is lots of food options and my family and I plan to go back real soon and try other options. More to come….

Less than thrilled… We waited roughly 30 mins for our food. During our wait the table next to us was dirty and nobody bothered wiping it down. The fries, shrimp, and catfish were very dry and as previous reviews have stated, salty. The okra and hush puppies were ok enough. The drinks were pretty rough too as though the machine hasn’t been cleaned. I’d certainly consider eating somewhere else.

We will not be going back to this place. The tables had been wiped off but were still sticky. After I asked them to be wiped again, I got an attitude but she did it. They were still sticky.
If you look at my picture of the crab cakes versus theirs posted on the wall (see photo included), they are completely different. My cakes were mushy and undercooked inside. My husband tolerated his chicken strips and fries. He did not like the chicken strips. The fries were decent. His Dr. Pepper was flat. The sweet potato pie was ok.
The worst thing about the whole visit was the restrooms. Roaches were crawling all over the floor. Not to mention it was filthy.

I don’t know how the food is as of yet but they do NOT have several items that are on their menu. NO Jumbo Shrimp and also No Cole Slaw. Just ordering now. I hope what they do have is Good. I’ll let you know after I eat……Well the food was very good and I enjoyed it very much. The fries that came with my fish plate were some of the best. My wife really enjoyed the shrimp. Also there was no Hush
Puppies that came with the dinner plates . I ordered an order of Puppies and they were good as well. Overall was good but need to get some Cole Slaw and Jumbo Shrimp. Ordering experience was a ONE but FOOD WAS A FOUR.

Mmmm where to start? I had read the reviews and was hesitant on going. I went because I felt it’s impossible to mess up a seafood boil. It was pretty delicious but because of monkey pox & Covid you’d think the place would be a bit cleaner. The floors were clean just lil detail needs to be addressed. The doors to the restrooms were horrific & it’s visible & also an easy fix #cleanit The tray my food was brought out on was just down right dirty visibly dirty.. overall the food was great, prices were excellent pretty cheap for a seafood boil. I’ll be going back next time I’m in town.

I Love walking into a clean restaurant. When I walked into Cod and Tail it was very clean and the cashiers were very nice. I will be eating at this place again. My food was freshly cooked and delicious. When you come to visit Greenwood, South Carolina. Please go by and check out Cod and Tail. You will not be disappointed.

I ordered 4 wings and rice and when I got home to eat, my wings were not in the box. I called back to let them know that my wings were not in my order. I was told that the owner needed to check the camera to see if the wings were not in there. Thirty minutes and two phone calls later I still get the same response, “The owner is checking the camera and they would call me right back.” I’m saying to myself, why is it taking so long and I just purchased my $13.99 meal to only get rice?? Needless to say this was very bad business and I’m no longer going to recommend Cod & Tail!!!
