Reviews
The gentleman at the counter was extremely kind over the phone and when I picked up. The food was ready in 10mins flat, extremely fast. I had the Beef Lo Mein for $15 and it was phenomenal, the beef has so much flavor and the noodles have a perfect texture. I also feel that for the price the portion I received is great.
I read through all the reviews before going. The food is delicious and the service is friendly and quick. I have zero complaints at all, I will absolutely be returning here!
None of the menus if you go there have the prices. So I took the copy off the desk that does and across the board it’s 10.99-> 18.99. so wildly price hiked. That was my first red flag.
Okay, so what did I get for $20 a plate?
Rice that tasted weird. Chicken that tasted old. Zero seasoning, don’t even think salt was added. An order that was slightly wrong, wrong soup.
I can forgive removing dinning areas to cut back on expenses, but you need to make it worth the drive with good food, especially with those insane prices.
I noticed a dog was back there in the kitchen at some point, but the dog was running away… Regardless, shouldn’t have a dog in a restaurant at all anyways. Gross
There’s a Tesla parked in the back, connected to a charger, so wouldn’t be surprised if they’re counting that electricity as a business expense lmfao. I mean, idrc about exploiting tax systems but at least deserve it with good food.
Tldr I think I would have just preferred getting Kwik trip across the street.
1) Take out only information was not updated in the website.
2) Blind sided by price.
3) Food was bland and taste like cook has lost his passion.
4) This is my first and last time to get the food from here.
Oh yaa, carry out doesn’t have any sauces and also they didn’t provided me with my fav fortune cookie.
I admit we had forgotten how tasty fresh cooked to order Chinese food is. Had egg drop soup, a kid’s chicken, Moo Goo Gai Pan and veg fried rice. Everything tasted individually as it should. It has become easy to stop at Hy-chi. That has it’s place; in a pinch. Seriously though, it’s a 2 minute drive to GC from HV. Simply planning just a few minutes in advance, you are guaranteed a tasty meal! Only downside, forgot our fortune . No worries there bcz hy-chi usually does too. Thank you!
